We really need to have a message tree or something set up, because if this place folds, it will be overnight, with no warning. People need to, off-board, contact their best friends and worst enemies here and arrange for migration should that happen.

Just so you guys know, I’m not ignoring this thread. There’s nothing new to add right now. Nobody’s told us to get our affairs in order, so to speak. If Ed or anyone else has anything to add in the ATMB thread I may repost it here.

Yeah, count me in on the “joint migration”. Even if I’ve only been posting for a few months, I’ve been a lurker for I don’t remember how long.

We also have a Myspace group, yanno, just in case messages need to get out if something dire were to happen. This was discussed back last December when we thought the place was going tits up last time.

Besides, our new board could just buy an ad on the frontpage of the Dope to direct everyone else where to go, hahaha!

I don’t know, we already have a precedent of people trying to fake impending death to distract attention from their failure to produce satisfactory answers to a thread. If history is any guide, we still have years of the sdmb to go.

I think we’re seeing the problem if the SDMB does go belly up - not a place to go to, but too many places to go to. It’ll be like a huge bunch of siblings getting adopted by a bunch of different families. I’ll miss all of you. {sniff}

We can also hope that even if CL folds that the SD & SDMB get sold off as an asset. I’ll just hope that we make it through OK and that CL makes it out of Chapter 11 and resumes trying to grow the SD & SDMB.

I would hazard a guess that a board of this size would find a buyer though if made available.
