It is a rif on Jackson’s reading of the fake kids’ book “Go the F**k to Sleep” which he did a few years ago.

Annoyed me that they ditched the rhyming scheme half-way through.

Didn’t notice that - they definitely had too many poor/half-rhymes, but generally carried through to the end.

And that was brilliant, pity about the bleeping-out.

Of course, Repubs are going to be* all over* that girl swearing at the end.

The rhyme scheme continues all the way through, but its forms shifts from true rhymes in couplet form, to near-rhymes interspersed with ABAB type rhyme pairings. I actually do prefer near-rhymes to strong rhymes for most subject matters (I find strong rhymes a bit sing-songy and nursery rhyme-ish), although in this case, with the way it builds expectations of perfect rhyme throughout, and given the children’s story form of it, it does jar a bit.

Yeah…scrubbing it to be PG-13 lessens its impact.

While a clever idea and mildly humorous I think they missed the mark with this a bit. They delivered a light slap instead of a serious smack down.

Amazing production value for what it is.
Grandma and Grandpa made me smile.

I guess he’s sick and tired of all the motherfucking conservatives in this motherfucking election.

That’s what jumped out at me as well - I had to go back and look again to double check

If you vote for Romney, I’m gonna give you the Eyeballs of Death.

This is what passes for reasons to vote for Obama for those on the left? Wow. But politics aside, as I’ve stated in other threads, I really don’t like it when young kids are brought into politics—right or left.

Yeah, I mean it’s not like the underlying message is true or anything. Oh, wait - it is.
Nevermind.

Tp paraphrase one stanza:

Obama sent guys to get Bin Laden. Romney sent jobs overseas.

So, those on the left live in a cartoon world. And one where disparate things can be compared as if they have some relationship to each other.

But you go right on championing that brilliant thinking, champ.

Re-read my post please.

I said the underlying message was true. I never said that every single comparison in an amusing, poetic attempt to motivate voters would stand up to critical debate.

But you go right on misrepresenting what I said bucko (is bucko the proper retort to champ? If not I apologize).

Will Rogers was right: Americans don’t vote for, they vote against. 90 years later the only difference now is that we don’t vote the fuck for, we vote the fuck against.

Still, I wish I had someone to vote the fuck for.

Oh, please. Take away the actual specifics in the copy and it’s just another partisan wank-fest. Feel free to enjoy yourself.

What, I don’t even get a “buddy” or a “pal”?

You’ve got your buddy, Sammy J. Go for it. Three’s a crowd.

Is this what we have come down to? LCD reached.
