When In Doubt, Follow The Instructions. Clearing the IE cache did it, they work fine now.
Silly fella/dame… that’s what graphics looked like on the Apple ][.
That’s nothing! In my day, we played Oregon trail by forming a party, gathering provisions, oxen and the like, and setting out from Independance, Missouri on a wagon trying to reach the Williamette valley! En route, we played it on our laptops.
Choplifter! That’s the name I couldn’t remember. You’re a choppin’ genius!
Heh. I think I’ll just stick with my usual emulator: Applewin…new version just came out, too, I believe.
Of course, I still have my old IIc and most of these old games sitting in a box in my closet. Sometimes I get urges to bust out Bard’s Tale I, Conan or Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego…
Btw, has anybody made a better computerized pinball game than this? My second favorite, Epic Pinball, doesn’t even come close.
My God. Arcade Bootcamp. Been years since I thought about that one.
feh. i have an Apple II at home. I’ll just go fire the original thing up.
nya.
Well, yeah, we have a few in the district still, sure, but we don’t have all of the games. It’s the games–it’s alllllll about the games.
My favorites:
Autoduel
Bard’s Tale and Ultima RPG series
Rescue Raiders
If you don’t want to play in a broswer, there’s an emu called Applewin which works pretty well, should pop up on Google.

I never HAD an Apple, just used them at school. They were way too expensive.
They still are, which is why I have this lovely new Dell.
I kicked some major butt at Oregon Trail last night, though! Now I’m going to see how many ways I can kill my party. Bwahahahahaha!
I only wish that you could buy bear bells and bear spray at the store. Oregon Trail would have been much more fun had you been able to shout, “Use the bear spray! Use the fuckin’ bear spray!”
I thought this thread might be about that lemonade stand game.
I once played that game through 200 days of lemonade selling. I had to stop, but I had something like $730. I so ruled lemonade stand.
