Bet you were thinking this was an update to last summer’s “Wanna see my kitty?” thread. Okay, I’ll update you on Gracie. The good news is that she’s doing fine, despite the fact she never grew. She’s maybe 5 pounds, and hasn’t changed in size for several months. Kinda cool having a miniature kitty.
The bad news is that my gentle, sweet-tempered dog, the one who slept with Gracie and protected her, had to be surrendered back to the rescue group that gave him to me. He became very agressive toward children, and bit a neigbor child without provocation. I have a son, and I couldn’t trust the dog around him anymore, so the rescue group placed him in a childless home. Not the best ending to the story, but better than having him put down.
Okay, the real point to my story… After a few dogless months, I caved to my son’s pressure to get a new dog. I present: Chester, all two pounds of him. Commence with the oohing and aahing.
Gracie has adopted him, and they sleep together at night. I’ll try to capture a picture if I can sneak up on them.
