yes
Wow, those first two on the left made me double-take. I totally want one now! I sleep quite still (to the point I’ll wake up with cats sitting on my hip, plotting my murder and I had no idea) and would love to freak the kids out with it.
Explorer couldn’t load something on the page (it seemed to be trying to load a bunch of stuff) and I got a failure. (That window with the big red X and the ‘kronk’ noise.)
Anyone have a description of what this ‘want’ is, and maybe an alternate site?
I saw a short trailer for the video to I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.
Somehow, I don’t think that’s what you’re talking about.
Never mind. I see it now. Damn I hope my new glasses are ready soon.
Those are really cool.
They’re fuzzy red velvety pillows!
In a puddle-like shape. Place them under someone’s head, and from a bit of a distance, it looks like they’re bleeding out from somewhere on the neck or head.
Haha, awesome. I found this before on a site of a lot of really cool and interesting different types of pillows…
… I want one too
[MOD NOTE]
Lissener, the site itself is okay, but please don’t post unlabeled links that suddenly make loud screeching noises out of the computer speakers!
(noise from unexpected action movie trailers count toward NSFW)
[/MOD NOTE]
Uh . . . it makes no noise when I click on it.
Yeah, just visited it again. No noise here.
Do you run any ad-blockers? I just went there and there is an ad for Zombieland that plays before entering the site. It starts with a blast of noise.
I’ve been called to task for asking people to please include a warning when they link to a video or any site that makes an unexpected noise. Every time I bring it up as simply the polite thing to do, I can count on a barrage of people insisting that doing so is too much to ask, and people should always carefully read the link that pops up with any mouseover. So obviously I wouldn’t have linked to a page that I knew made noise without such a notice.
And doesn’t everybody run ad-blockers? I can’t imagine a *half *of a reason why you wouldn’t.
I run AdBlock and not only did it not play a movie ad before entry, there was also no hint that such a thing played. Someone with a good adblocker (like lissener and I) wouldn’t even have an idea that there was anything wrong with the page.
I can see that ending up in a boy-who-cried-wolf kind of thing. Someone is always joking about being found in a pool of blood… then one day they get violently robbed and murdered and their spouse just thinks it’s the pillow…
lissener, I wasn’t complaining, just confirming.
I don’t run adblockers as my machine is rather old and already creaking under the weight of all the anti-virus,anti-malware, anti-spyware, anti-every-damned-thing-there-is. I do plan on a new rig this summer.
I, for one, appreciate warnings of PDFs, videos, noisy ads, etc.
The pool of blood is nice, but did y’all see that horse head pillow?
It’s a steal for $45!
As cool as the “Pool of Blood” pillow is, I would not want one. The way I figure it, why would I want someone to intentionally wake me up out of a deep, relaxing sleep in a hurried panic?
I’d seen these before too. I bet they’d be easy to make.
Perhaps you’re a member of the site, and that’s why you didn’t see the splash page. This isn’t just a little video on the page – it’s a whole page with nothing but the video that you have to bypass to see any content on the site.
But if you consider a warning the polite thing to do, why are you complaining that I broke the link and explained why?
Reason #1: You’ll know when you’re linking to sites that blast out movie previews. Reason #2: Ads support websites that you like and use.
Nobody’s complaining about anything. And no I’m not a member of the site; I’d never visited it before. It’s probably the adblock software.
So do I; I pointed out my history on such issues just to show you that I was in full agreement with you, and the irony of my linking to such a site in the first place.
