Wanted! City of Heroes Players!

Go. Hunt. Kil Skulz.

As a joke, some time back, I created a character named “Grammar 5th Columnist”. All she did was sit in the chat channels correcting people’s spelling and grammar

This game still exists? It has players?

No.

It does not.

Someone just got whooshed by a low flying cape.

What are those heros doing flying so low?!?

We outta have a law.

Threadshitting isn’t allowed in the Game Room. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it.

No warning issued.

And Skyway City is safe again!

Unfortunately, even those of us that do like the game can no longer play it. :frowning:

If you’re gonna help out - make sure it’s for the Phoenix Project and not “Heroes and Villains.” Trust me. Golden Girl’s an ego maniacal psycho.

No, I think he was genuinely happy.

Hard to say from a one-line post, but it was a common reaction when I mentioned that I was still hanging out on Liberty Plaza amid the more rabid and progressive stripe of gamer. I was some kind of living fossil among them for playing a game that was five, six, almost eight years old.

If I wanted to play a hobbit wizard master chief in robo-armor, I’d have moved on.

No, come to think of it, I’d have just whipped up another alt.

(I hate - hate - hate elfy-welfy questing magic shit, and I get bored with sweaty yet-bigger-gun military stuff after a few levels. I will always love the massive spread and depth and flexibility of CoH, no matter how quaint and retro it got among the console-button bashing set.)

He’s entirely right. GG is not the good crazy.

Everything’s not quite dead yet. More news coming out…

Soon.

I’d love to see the portal to Paragon City open again. Damn, I miss that place more than quite a few real ones…

That, I’m afraid, isn’t going to happen. But you know what heroes do when a disaster strikes.
You pick yourself up.
And you rebuild from what remains.

I only got to play for a year, but I still have a hard time not crying when I watch stuff like that. I’m 47 years old, and I can honestly say I’ve never missed anything like I miss CoH.

I still get somewhat depressed on a fairly regular basis when something reminds me of CoX.

I’m a major altoholic in WoW, but my alts in WoW are nothing compared to the 93 characters I’d created by the time CoX shut down. Hell, WoW wouldn’t even let me have that many characters.

ETA: 93 is actually just the number of characters I still had active at the time. I had many others that I created, but they didn’t work out and got deleted.
