I am VERY interested in this. Supposedly, as a subscriber to the newsletter since forever and a day ago, I was supposed to get a spot in the open Beta, but I haven’t heard any follow-up on that since it was announced. I can only assume that the spot, if it exists, is for the stress test or something. Nonetheless, I must say that this game looks pretty awesome, and I can’t wait to see what they’ve done with it. I love the plethora of playable races and classes, some of which seem stupid fun.
Anyone else interested in it and planning on buying it at launch? I’d love to get a guild together.
I’m not sure (since Infinite Undiscovery and Spore both come out in Sept) but if I can spare the cash for the SE edition, yes, I would love to play this casually in a doper guild Not sure when the WoW expansion is, but I would at least play this till that came out if not longer, depending on the quality / draw of it. Oh, and I would HAVE to play a dwarf by this name, of course.
This is the only MMOG (okay Eve qualifies too but not the subject matter so much for me personally) that I’ve heard about which isn’t static, where your actions could conceivably affect the path of history (such as it is). On that basis it intrigues me, if nothing else.
Me, too. Just waiting for them to allow my codes…I was hoping to be able to leave stuff downloading while I was at work, but they’re not taking the Beta codes yet. Oh well.
Got into the closed beta a few days ago (collector’s edition pre-order), and messed around a bit with two healer classes so far. Not sure how much I can say due to the NDA, but the game looks very polished overall, and very fun. Some relatively minor bugs, but from what I’ve heard, the devs are really listening to their testers, and stuff tries to get fixed generally quickly, at least the more major bugs.
The closed beta download was through a torrent, which sucked bigtime, took me about 36 hours to download. Supposedly they will be releasing a regular download on Monday, when the open beta opens up.
