Was getting rid of Leinart a good move for AZ Cardinals

Lived in Phx for two years and was in LA while Leinart was at USC and I am a Seahawks fan so I have a passing interest in the story.

I know Whisenhunt didn’t want Leinart and IMHO Leinart was never really given a chance to show his stuff. Lack of practice time = bad performances and when he did play, the offence was geared more to “don’t lose” than “win the game” which is a losing formula for any team. In their last 5 games, the Cardinals are 0-5.

So did Leinart not get a fair chance in AZ and should the Cardinals have kept him (necessitating a change in attitute on Whisenhunt’s part)?

I’m a huge Cardinals fan and I think they should have kept Leinart. However, I wasn’t in the locker room. There were stories about Larry Fitzgerald not liking Leinart. I know that Whisenhunt was hoping to make Max Hall the next Kurt Warner, but that hasn’t happened. Derek Anderson is nothing more than an ok backup.

I’m not sure if the Cardinals thought Warner might come out of retirement, but that won’t be happening.

Thankfully, there should be some decent QBs available in the offseason.

Looks like you’re the only one on the dope :stuck_out_tongue:
