I went to the doctor due to a foot pain issue I’ve been having. Doctor says it has something to do with my tendons and I need to stretch it (using a frozen water bottle).
Anyway, after leaving the doctor’s office, I got the bright idea I would stop by one of those Asian foot massage places. I did do a little research going in (I’ve never been to one of these places before). The place I went to accepted credit cards and they got good reviews from both men and women.
With that in mind, this place seems legit.
So I go in there and order a 30min session.
Nice lady takes me to a room and sits me down.
A couple of minutes later, in comes a guy with a bucket of water which he promptly plops my feet in and then leaves.
Shortly after that, a lady walks in wearing (as far as I can tell) nothing bu a silk Asian robe. Revealing all kinds of leggy-ness.
She greets me:
Her: “Hey, how’s it going?”
Me: “Pretty good”
Her: “Okay,”
She then turns around and leaves the room.
Minutes later, the guy comes back in to do his thing to my feet.
I tipped the guy and then paid for my session at the front desk.
So, what’s going on here? Was it just a fluke? Or were they trying to bait me into asking for one of “those” kind of massages with the girl?
I guess I should add that the place advertises as a foot massage place, but they also do backs.
Do places like that even exist anymore? The ones that are into “those kind” of massages? Call be blissfully ignorant (or stupid I guess) but I hesitate to believe they are.
I don’t think you were baited, but they were just providing the services and was a bit unclear of your request. Being legally unable to directly ask, they really had no idea if you wanted a foot massage or a foot massage, if you know what I mean. When the first girl came it seems like it was more likely that you wanted a foot massage and left to get the right person.
So no I don’t think they were trying the upsell you, but perhaps expected you wanted the other service as a default.
A couple of things, the room I was in was just big enough for a chair and an ottoman. And in the doorway that separates me from the hallway was just a flimsy curtain. I could still see customers walking back and forth through the hallway.
Can’t imagine anyone would be getting naked in that room.
Also, I did get a professional foot massage. So even if they are doing shady deals in the back, I gotta believe a significant part of their revenue is coming from legitimate trade.
Sex?
Who’s talking about sex?
Obviously Grrr! was expecting the woman to make a pitch to sell him one of those beautiful silk robes. And on the other side the woman is probably expecting Grrr! to say something like “That’s such a beautiful robe. Where can I get one?” but if you’re not going to take an interest she’s not going to bother showing their line of socks, undergarments and outerwear.
If you’re naked and have a stiffy, it’s pretty obvious that you’re not a cop, and what sort of ‘service’ you’re expecting. Otherwise, they’re left to guess. They’ll generally guess toward the legal end <heh>.
