A recent spider thread jogged my memory.
Just over a year ago, the media in the UK reported (with tabloid glee) that workmen had found a colony of unknown spiders underground in the area surrounding Windsor Castle. This BBC article from the time will explain what I mean. It was speculated at the time that the spiders were venomous due to their red markings, and could either be a new species or one previously thought extinct.
Does anyone know what happened? The article suggests tests were carried out, does anyone know the results? I could only find articles on the original discovery when I searched.
Thanks!
