Was just "defriended" by a childhood friend because I'm not a Born Again Christian

If it was the first thing they said it would be a little odd. There’s no indication here that that’s the case though.

Creepy though? We have different views of what constitutes creepy clearly.

I’m sure the twins will be very upset.

It’s an attempt to infuse intimacy into a relationship where none exists. He thinks that reminding of her of these “sexual explorations” will somehow goad her into realizing that they were meant for each other, so WE SHOULD TOTALLY GO OUT.

Marley, you know it’s his schtick right? I’m not using the T word but I do think ETV gets a weird satisfaction from negative attention - some kind of self-flagellation. He posts a lot of these kinds of OP’s with very little feedback after the original post. Just enough info now and then to keep the waters churning. I could easily dig up ten such threads in no time, but this isn’t the pit.

Who are you? The Facebook Nazi?

I am not impressed at all. Charlene Tilton, who played Lucy Ewing on * Dallas, * claimed to be a “born - again Christian.” And she stayed with the series. Puts me in mind of Leona Hemsley, or Jezebel, or Mata Hari. I can’t imagine any of them as "born - again Christians " during their careers.

I can’t tell if the OP means playing doctor at age 5, or awkward sex at age 15.

Whatever the case, no one wants to be reminded of that, and they especially don’t want it brought up in a public space like facebook!

“Honey I went to facebook to send you a PM with the info, who is this guy that says you guys fooled around as kids anyway?”

Yea everybody is just looking forward to that conversation.

Just saw the OP said it was a PM, but still I’m an atheist and I’d unfriend you. You sound like you’re trying to set up a new session of amateur gynecology.

We were preschoolers.

+1

How much contact have you had with your friend since then? Did you guys talk regularly?

Depends on if she had a pixie cut or not.
I’m guessing she doesn’t or he wouldn’t have messaged her fishingly.

Uh, was this meant to go in another thread?

I think that’s closer to it, yes. Which is the other reason why it’s creepy.

Cite that etv had preschool dalliances with the women you’re listing, please. I’m shocked.

OK, back to super-creepy.

How about ill mannered? There are some things that as a society, we’ve sort of agreed we don’t talk about unless we have a VERY close relationship with the person in question - or its an agreement that those topics are ok. You don’t go to work and announce you had a quickie that morning. You don’t describe the contents of your cyst when it popped. Whether you mind that conversation or not, society as a whole has said “most people don’t like having the shape and consistency of your bowel movements described to them - so you keep it to yourself.”

(Some of these remain guilty pleasures - like pimple popping - for far more people than would admit it off the internet - but we still keep these conversations to those who we are fairly close to - or very far away from - like an anonymous internet message board)

Bottom line is, the friend was offended. Better the OP would have posted “I inadvertently hurt my friend’s feelings and I feel bad about it” rather than the “I’m sad she felt the need to defriend me” pity-party he posted.

He overstepped the line, but it’s totally her fault for being born-again.

Boy, you really didn’t like “Dallas”, did you?

In Texas, nobody likes Dallas. Unless you’re in Dallas. Then you pretend.

Oh…, you mean the TV show!
