Err…umm…yes and no. She has a speaking part in two versions…there are three. There is a lnog one, which starts off in black and white, and has the full song, including the line “there’s a train of girls coming with a nice caboose.” The second version is I think a 30 second spot, and does not have the previous line, but ends with Brooke saying her line. Then there is a super-short version, only 15 seconds, which also ends with Brooke’s line.
I love this ad. Forget ‘fallen on hard times’. I think musicians were fighting eachother for the role. “It’s an ad for a new Burger King sandwich. But, the important thing is that you’ll be stuck in people’s minds, and the set will be full of gorgeous women.” Darius really does a great job. His voice is surreally cheerfull and I don’t find the jingle annoying in the least.
Now I’m totally freaked out. I clicked to this page and saw the guy in the chicken suit come out. I thought it was just a weird movie, so I typed “die” into the command line. I thought I’d just get an error message. But the dude did a swoon and flopped to the floor! Weird, weird, superweird.
This is supposed to sell sandwich?
And I thought the TV commercial was freakish and disturbing!
Hootie and the Blowfish perform in Las Vegas…sadly at the Silverton Hotel which has a “theater” about the size (and quality) of a small high school gymnasium. Not even real seats…sort of fancy folding chairs. Tickets were $35 last time they were here.
