Was there ever an Iceman cartoon series?

This is something that has plagued me since seeing Bobby Drake in X-men1… Did I dream an Iceman cartoon, or was that a real show? I remember a silver-surfer looking dude, gliding on a trail of ice blasted at his feet, like Frozone in The Incredibles. And not an appearance in say, Xmen or Spiderman cartoons, his very own show. Heck, while I have this thread open, Mr. T had his own cartoon series too, right? In which he pitied any number of fools? Right?

Iceman appeared along with Spider-Man and the previously unseen character Firestar in the early-80s series “Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.” Toon Disney and ABC Family are currently rerunning episodes as part of their Jetix lineup.

Mr T had his own series, in which he was some sort of guardian to a team of young gymnasts. Cartoon Network is rerunning it at 5 or 5:30 AM weekday mornings.

“Spiderman and His Amazing Friends” featured Iceman, Spiderman, and Firestar.

The Mr. T Show was produced by Ruby-Spears Productions, a spin-off/subsidiary of the Hanna-Barbera studios. The Agony Booth has some very funny tongue-in-cheek reviews of some episodes of this series (along with Mr. T’s 1984 motivational video, Be Somebody or Be Somebody’s Fool!). Robert Smigel also parodied both the show and Mr. T’s recent attempts to get back into show business in two animated Saturday Night Live sketches. “Drink your drugs, don’t do milk, and say no to school!*”

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends was produced by Marvel Productions (formerly the DePatie-Freling studio of Pink Panther fame).

Wikipedia says no: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iceman_(comics)#Appearances_in_other_media.

No it doesn’t:

I saw an episode a couple days ago- the voice Welker used for Iceman was the same one he used for Fred on Scooby-Doo.

The Wikipedia article is a lot more complete than the IMDB listing.

Frozone himself featured, along with comic sidekick Skipperdoo, in Mr Incredible And Pals, the short-lived animated series: however, he was rumoured to be dissatisfied with both his depiction, the poor quality of the animation, and the fact that he never saw any money from it.

Regarding his depiction in the cartoon, Frozone has gone on record as being offended by his character’s use of 1950s-era cool slang (stating that he “sounded like a beatnik”) and the fact that the animators apparently made him, quote, “a white guy.” However, his good friend and compatriot Mr. Incredible believes that the latter is not actually the case, and the animated Frozone only appears white due to the faded quality of the only existing print of the show (which appeared as a special feature on the DVD release of The Incredibles, which marked the feature film debuts of both Incredible and Frozone).

Read the OP:

I’m deeply curious as to why, after three people not only gave the correct answer but named the specific show, including details of its current airing and production company, you would post to the contrary.

Maybe because he said he wasn’t referring to the Spiderman cartoon in his OP?

Well, that answers my question, although it seems pretty clear (to everyone else) that the OP was just mis-remembering “Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends.” Your post led to a lot of unnecessary confusion. How much effort would it really have taken on your part, if you felt you had to post, to say something like “he didn’t have a solo cartoon, just the Spider-Man one” or words to that effect?

He just likes to be contrary.

BTW, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends started my lifelong love of redheads, and introduced me to the X-Men for the first time.

Nice one guys. Searches for Iceman on IMDB proved fruitless. I can buy that he appered in some show with spider-man, but on his own, right? Just like, say, the wondertwins appeared on super-friends, yeah? Funny Firestar never registered on th’ole bubastis scale. As for Otto and Aesiron, thank you both for your help, but guys, in the parlance of “the kids” in my neck of the woods these days, “Chillax”.
