Okay so i have windows where there two windows so like a double window type deal, well the outside one wasnt shut for the longest time. Well wasp had made a pretty decent nest on the corner of the window so i figured it was now time to shut the outside window to try and get rid of the nest. I shut it and just figured they would die eventually considering the high temp and being stuck between two window pans. But ive still got this one wasp thats been flying around inside for WEEKS! The rest are dead but this other one has been flying around inside these two windows like its not even bothered! First question is how is this thing still flying!!!
If it has wings, and it’s alive, it will keep trying to escape by flying or crawling. If you mean how is it still alive after two weeks of being trapped? My guess is that wasps are fairly heat tolerant and can survive for many weeks without water if they have to. Why hasn’t it starved to death? Cannibalism exists in the animal world for a reason.
There could have been larva emerging to replace each wasp and it looks like the same one.
They all look alike.
And they all have that same wasp-y accent.
