Watching a family age over 30 years

I came across this site and one of the pages was a family that evidently took a photo once a year for 30 years. Totally fascinating and I thought I would share it.

“Time” is something that has always fascinated me and to see it chronicled like this was intriguing. When my daughter was born I had flirted with the idea of taking her picture every year–alas I did not do it and now I sort of regret it. It would have been a cool gift to give her at say age 21.

Cool !

I have done somthing similar just pasting all my old leftover fotos made for bus passess, passports, subscriptions etc on one big page in my scrapbook/photoalbum.

Here’s three pictures of my baby’s first year side by side, taken with the baby wedged in the same corner of our couch.

Everyone wound up aging pretty well, but man were those some weird looking babies. (In reference to the OP.)

Fascinating! But the pictures looked like police mug shots!

The '80s were not a good decade for women’s hair.

Those can’t be real human beings. They look like claymation pictures.

Apparently there are no razors in that family’s house.

They all look exactly alike. That’s the most resembling-each-other family I’ve ever seen.

And conga-rats to them for keeping a solid family going for thirty years!

I think they cloned those kids…

Diego aged about 10 years between '81 and '82.

Interesting. We took a specific picture of our son once a week for the first year of his life, but it never occurred to me to do something like that over the course of years/decades.

well post a pic of yourself after a couple years after having a couple of boys! I know that I aged quite a bit a couple years after my daughter was born. Cut my pony tail off and then the rest of my hair just kept slipping sliding away. Now 14 years later it pretty much is all gone!

He also looks like a favored competitor in a “Richard Dreyfuss Look-Alike Contest”.

I’m pretty sure that’s the cutest baby I’ve ever seen.

I wonder if one could print that out and make an odd animation flip book out of it…

Pretty cool concept.

Mom doesn’t smile much, does she? And by the end, she looks a little ragged.

Mom looks like something from the faces of meth. Although I guess it is 30 years.

I was thinking she changes hair length/style almost every year. How do you do that without going nuts?

-Z, changed hairstyle last year for the first time in over a decade, and it was a decade to the change prior to that too.

They seem to have birthed either a trio of criminals or a self-contained boy-band, I can’t decide. But Nicholas and Matias sure look alike.
