Watchmen Stills/Panels Comparison

I couldn’t find a recent Watchmen thread, so I’m just gonna open up a new one, since I just found this page comparing still photos from the upcoming movie with single panels from the comic; and I’d say the attention to detail is pretty damn amazing, and the overall look is simply brilliant.
While this ‘look, we can make single scenes look exactly like the comic!’-thing might be getting a bit old hat (Sin City, 300…), I still must confess that I’m getting more and more excited for the film.

On that Silk Spectre shot, I notice she’s sitting on, uh, a completely different kind of stool… I mean… damn.

That is to say, analyzing the movie shot, the mirrors show more detail, and she’s at a much sharper profile, and, uh…

Daaaaaaamn.

Oh, for Pete’s sake, grow up. Let me take a look. . . .

Damn.

Just for the sake of accuracy, that’s comparing promotional posters, not shots from the movie and panels from the comic.

Ozymandias looks so skinny and wimpy, thats just wrong :frowning:

In a recent Smodcast, Kevin Smith talks about how he and Scott Mosier got to see a rough cut of the film after ComiCon. They both said that it was pretty incredible.

They do add the caveat that Smith loves a lot of crap movies (he raved about Revenge of the Sith) but that Mosier hates most everything so his opinion is pretty solid.

How about this YouTube link, with a side-bu-side comparison of the trailer to various shots from the graphic novel?

The link in the OP has the first picture of Bubastis that I have seen. Looks good.

I’m glad somebody realized that, as drawn, Nite Owl’s belt buckle was a colostomy waiting to happen.

Wow. Very cool. I can’t wait for this movie… yet I must.

I started out with very low expectations for this movie, figuring that the comic would be turned into crap by the Hollywood machine. However, the more I see, the more optimistic I get. It looks like Snyder is really trying to make a faithful adaptation.

Gotta agree with this - but overall increasingly excited.
