We need more smilies.

Yes, yes, definitely.

OR

Yes, yes, definitely.
See how the smilie can how convey meaning?
To everyone: I guess we will have to agree to disagree on the smilie issue. However, I do agree that :o conveys the meaning that you want to give someone a blowjob instead of saying you are embarrassed. The more artist types on this board should give it a Photoshop session.

That’s not a knife in my pocket, I just like posting here.

We need less smilies, can we vote to evict one? I’d like to see this fella take the long walk:

Of the smilies we have, I would say that the ones I see used most often are the:
   :stuck_out_tongue: (in casual chat) and
 :dubious: :smack: (in the more serious threads).

Occasionally, you’ll see someone using the  (shortly followed by someone else explaining the whoosh).

I’ve never seen the  used outside of the Pit (or indeed outside of “Outrage Threads”).

I’ve only seen the :frowning: used to console others.

Once in a blue moon, you’ll see  in a TMI thread. (sorry, no pun intended)

I don’t think I have ever seen :o used legitimately to mean “I’m embarrassed,” for the obvious reason.

I would like to see the embarrassed and eek smilies redone at the very least. There are some good arguments for adding the “Pukey” (but not puking) smilie that was discussed a while ago. If a non-animated wall smilie could be created, I might vote for that one. The other smilies I’ve heard proposed (og smash, animated, neutrality, etc.) seem (to me) to run counter to the “vibe” of SDMB.

Once again the blatant anti-Swiss-American discrimination is displayed. Why must we always be a persecuted minority?
