When we transferred the database over from vBulletin, your user group was copied into the Title field. So you were a “Guest”, “Member”, “Charter Member”, “SDSAB”, etc.
New users don’t get anything filled into the Title field, so it remains blank. So those who ignored our instructions and created new accounts don’t have anything in their Title field.

I beg to differ. My title changed from guest to member after I gave money. In the B.D. times (Before Discourse).

What is the max length?
Going with 40 it looks like, more than that causes some issues with the user name.
I already changed mine to show off a fairly lengthy one including my pronouns.
