So many! So few hands! I’ve examined a heaping buttload of them and I’ve kept a bunch of the really sexy ones, but what are the weapons that I should be using? I’m dual-wielding like a motherfucker just so everyone can use all the niftiness.
Also, how does one get to the prestige classes? My wizard won’t turn into a battlemage. That upsets me.
I don’t know the specifics, but there’s a variety of requirements one needs to have access to prestige classes. These requirements might include being able to cast certain spells, having a base attack bonus above some value, or having particular skills at a high enough level. Usually, it’s easiest to meet these requirements by multi-classing to a few ordinary classes first. At a guess, it’s probably a base attack bonus requirement that your wizard is missing, if he doesn’t already have a few levels of some warrior class.
If it’s anything like D&D, there’s requirements. What are the requirements for battlemage?

The next time you level up, check the requirements for Battlemage. You need a certain BAB, I believe, and MARTIAL WEAPON PROFICIENCY. Without that, you can’t do it, period.
Battlemage? Are you talking Eldritch Knight? If so you need to be able to cast level three arcane spells and Martial proficiency.
Weapons…well how did you build your character? Different chars have different needs. For instance I have a build that destroys everything with a scythe but I don’t think that’d be very good for a Str poor mage. Anyway pick a character to be your crafter (either your main or Sand…Qara can do in a pinch) and put the following on it.
Holy. There’s so many undead in the campaign it’s insane not to have holy on your weapons.
+# whatever the best + damage you can craft at the time
Leave your third slot open (or you won’t be able to upgrade your +damage anymore stupid system) until you get the +5 on your weapons then fill this slot with whatever your like. Fire, acid, massive criticals, etc. etc. Whatever you think will work best with your build.
Doing this you’ll build weapons far better suited to you then what you find in the campaign.
I haven’t even got into crafting weapons yet. I’ve got buttloads of things I could use for crafting such things, but I’m not versed on how to.
Meh.
I thought I satisfied the battlemage requirements already. I’m not new to role playing games or anything. Meh. I’ll hafta reread them again and see what I missed.
And, for good measure, meh.
