As reported here some 60 people in Cuba were arrested for wearing a white wristband with the word “Cambio” or “Change”. From my perspective the only thing noteworthy about this event is that this seems to be business as usual in Cuba, which indicates that Raul Castro is going to be Fidel II, not Fidel-light as some predicted.
I agree with you. My thought is, as long as the upper-ranking people in the party can keep the status quo, they will. I see no motivation for them to allow change.
