Weather On TV question

Why is it that when news stations do the weather, and state today’s high and low temperature, the High temperature is not listed?
When did they explain their reasoning?

Perhaps I’m dense today, but what the hell are you talking about?

I was wondering if it was a local thing.

On my news, when they do the weather, and get to the “almanac” screen, they will list todays temperatures, the and the records.

Most often, when they describe today’s high and low, the High number will be a complete blank.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen what you describe, but every station has its own format for this sort of thing. Perhaps they don’t show the high temperature for the day because the day’s not over yet?

Perhaps you are watching an early edition of the news. They won’t know what the high is until later in the day.

I think you’ve got some weird station futz-up there. I’ve never heard of such a thing, and I’ve spent the past three years sharing an office with a TV weather guy.
