This past weekend, I stumbled across a great serial webfiction, The Flying Cloud. It’s an alternate-history story set in the late 1920s, when airships rule the skies, and follows the adventures and misadventures of a Royal Navy crew investigating some strange goings-on. Each installment has an illustration (with mouseover text), but the story is all in text, not comic form. A few technologies are a bit more advanced than they are in our world, but there haven’t been any fantastical elements so far.
