I feel a bit stupid posting this here, but I’m not sure where else to go to find out this information.
I’m having a weird problem at the moment with all of the web mail hosts. My father has not been able to get onto his Hotmail account (getting a message that there is too much traffic) for the past few days and, although I’ve been able to log in and read messages, I have not been able to send messages from either my Yahoo account or GMail account for at least the last couple of days. I’m assuming there isn’t some worldwide problem with free web mail going on (or is there?). Any ideas what could be causing this? Could it be firewall issues?
Have you tried a different browser? Maybe your current browser’s security settings are too high.
I certainly haven’t experienced any problems with Hotmail, Yahoo (2 accounts of my own and 5 for other family members) and Gmail/Googlemail - again 2 accounts.
They are all accessed with a variety of browsers: FireFox, Opera, Netscape, Maxthon and Slimbrowser.
Thanks for the replies.
I don’t know - I’ve tried reinstalling my firewall (zonealarm); temporarily turning off the firewall; installing and using Firefox as my browser - all to no avail. I’ve also tried another web email, and tried to post on a blog - all without any luck. Until a few days ago, there were no problems at all. I’ve done a full virus check and adware check, both of which were clear. Getting desperate here
