I’m thinking of buying my wife a cool new alarm clock (she’s easy to please), but I have no idea where to find interestingly designed clocks. Any ideas?

I’m really looking for one of two things: either a beautifully designed clock that you might find in…crap, I can’t think of one store…There was a store called Habitat in Paris that would have something like that, but I don’t think we have Habitat in the US. Anyway it would be something simple, but elegant.

Otherwise, something cutesy-putesy. The clock she has right now is a Japanese alarm clock with a cat that plays the trumpet and yells in Japanese for you to wake up.

Any of the real gadgety stuff she wouldn’t like (though, I would). Especially the helicopter one…

I really, really want one of Stephen Fry’s Voco clocks. They will ship to the U.S., but I don’t know how long it takes.
