That LSU @ Bama game is really, really tough to call. I’m saying LSU, barely.

I feel the same way. The main thing I predict is that the score will be close – and low.

Games like this often turn on a key turnover or a quirky tipped ball or a special teams play. Certainly there is no indication that either team will be able to run up and down the field.

I give LSU the advantage, if only b/c of a better secondary and the resurgence of the QB position this year (compared to last year). And by “resurgence” I mean “won’t actively lose the game for you.” Plus, the Mad Hatter.

I’m really, *really *looking forward to this game.

I’m the only one with Bama? Really? Huh.

It’s good that somebody took the fall!

LSU’s defense is just too good. I’ve only seen them play once and I have not seen 'Bama at all.

I went with the “when in doubt in a game this well matched, take the big home field advantage and call it a day” approached.

Bama has looked a bit better than LSU in what I’ve seen, but I haven’t seen much.

I’ve seen every LSU game and about half of 'Bama’s. Honestly, if LSU brings its “A” game, I don’t see them losing. No matter what 'Bama does. LSU’s offense is much, much better than last year’s and on defense I swear their third team could start for most D-I programs. If the game is close, I think they’ll be able to outlast 'Bama pounding the ball on offense and still have fresh legs on defense through the 4th quarter.

However, if Lee reverts to Pick-Six and Jefferson to scramble-fumble, 'Bama will be right there to take advantage. And if 'Bama manages to get out to an early 2 touchdown lead (whether by good execution or quirky plays), I’m not sure LSU is built for playing catch-up against an extremely talented team.

bump – poll closes in 18 hours or so.
