Can anyone explain Shadowpact to me?

Sure. A group of magical third-stringers banded together during the recent Crisis kerfluffle, to try and stop the Spectre’s rampage. As of Shadowpact #1, we learn this impromptu team has stayed together, and the Phantom Stranger has a mission in mind for them.

I salute you both for your concise answer and for your use of the word “kerfluffle”.

I only browsed…my single purchase was the 1970’s Marvel Handbook.

Ohh, and I forgot to mention this yesterday. I read a little article on Newsarama - they’re doing weekly gab sessions with 52’s editor, and he has confirmed that Nightwing’s appearance at the memorial was not only intentional, it was something the nitpicky comic geeks were supposed to notice. So there is mystery afoot.

Manhunter 22 - Just got around to this one…Mid-Nite is starting to sound like Charlie McNider, not Pieter Cross (Talking about Al Pratt as a colleague) - the hints were there in 21 (talking about Al and Mary as if he knew them, when he couldn’t, Al being dead long before he joined the JSA, or even became a hero), but it didn’t click until this one. But… It’s definitely Pieter over in JSA…not that JSA doesn’t have a bunch of continuity glitches as a OYL title, already. Regardless, it’s potentially interesting.

How is that? I’m reasonably sure I purchased it through Previews a few months ago. But, I haven’t been in to pick it up yet.
