Just curious. My own weight has gone up and down over the years, but, today, I weigh 8 lbs more than I did when I graduated from High School. If I start to get down on myself, I try to think…ok…maybe not so bad for a 40 year old. Anyway, anyone else care to share?
I’m working on getting back down, I don’t recall exactly but I was around 120 when I was 18 and recently (at age 32) was 180 but I’m working on it. 120 was way too small, so I’m shooting to get to around 150ish.
I’m 38. 6’1" male.
Graduate highschool at probably 185-190.
Stayed under 200 till I was 31. Let myself go and went up to 240 within a couple years (got engaged and married and my free time was gone).
At age 34 dieted and excercised my way back down to 200.
Then my son was born in 2006 and excercise and diet were put on hold. I’ve been holding steady at 215 for quite some time now.
When I graduated from high school I was probably around 150 lb. First year of university that jumped up to 165 lb which came straight from poor eating choices and lots of alcohol. In the summer after third year, I joined a gym and turned most of the flab into muscle and dropped a few pounds in the process; when I returned to school I kept myself on a pretty tight diet because I didn’t have the time to workout. The muscle disappeared but the fat didn’t come back.
That was 3 years ago and things have stayed the same since then. So I’ve put on 10 lb since they end of high school but I don’t think it’s all that noticeable. It’s like I’ve filled out (in a good way).
Graduated in 1988 weighing about 155. I was still growing. Came back from freshman year college at about 170-175 and over the years my weight crept up to a maximum of 212.
About 2.5 years ago I started WW and it took about 6 months to get down to 170-175lbs, that’s my regular walking around weight now. I’ve stayed there for coming up on 2 years and look/feel great, best shape of my life.
I didn’t start to gain weight until I hit 25 or so. I was a size 2 then; now I wear a size 12 pant. Have got to do something about that. It happened practically overnight.
When I left high school, I was 135 lbs. Now I’m 40, I’m 154 lbs. I could probably do to lose about 7-10 lbs, but largely I think the other extra 10 lbs suits me better.
(185 cm give or take) I was about 200 when I left high school. In first year I ate and drank myself to about 230 then I dieted and exercised myself to about 160. Over the last half decade or so I’ve been into powerlifting and I’m now about 210.
So in the 13 years since I finished high school I’ve gained about 10 lbs.
graduated at 175 lbs, put on 30 good lbs. in the army, put on 25 not-so-good ones in the 12 years after that.
I’ve been up and down quite a bit, depending on workload and availability to exercise. Recently, i’ve been getting rather annoyed with being a little thick in the waist, so I’ve just recently started working out regularly (and eating healthy) again.
…one of the worst things about being a musician on the road is all the crap you eat. It’s a real challenge to eat healthy on tour. I don’t really drink so much out there anymore, but it’s pretty damn impossible to find nutritious stuff on the interstate…
Graduated HS six or so years ago at 150, am currently at 160. The extra ten pounds is all muscle, but about 10 pounds of that 150 was flab that I’d still like to lose. So… overall the 10 pound gain is definitely good, but I’d still rather be 150 with the muscle structure I have now.
About 75 to 80 pounds. However, you’ve got to take into account that I was running cross country track in high school and was really, really, really skinny. I weighed about 127 at about 6’2" going into my senior year. I usually weigh around 195 to 200 now, mostly muscle.
