Just got back from my lunchtime Fat Club meeting. I’m down a pound and a half this week, which is a major accomplishment for me. My average is about a half pound loss over the time I’ve been going, and the actual plot of my losses is quite chaotic.
I am pleased to announce that, after being off my feet for two weeks, I was able to get a good walk in! I took it in shorter hops with a break for lunch, so I didn’t overdo it. I feel so much better. No more cabin fever, and no more cranky Robin!
Official weigh-in today. Stayed the same as last week (114.4kg), which I’m quite pleased with, given my easter egg consumption on Good Friday (hubby is out of town for Eastercon so we had our eggs early whilst we were still together).
I feel like I need to shake things up a bit. I’ve gotten into a bit of a holding pattern, eating the same meals day after day. I guess the change of season will help.
Well, it appears that the most recent plateau is over. I lost 0.6 last week and expect to lose again this week. I just had a good breakfast to ensure that I don’t pick at the candy and other goodies that await at my mother-in-law’s this afternoon. She is making lasagna for Easter dinner, but I’m prepared for that so I know not to eat a lot of junk food before that, and I know Airman’s aunt usually brings some very, very rich desserts, so I know to stay away from that. (In fact, now that I think about it, I’m going to swing by the supermarket to get some fresh fruit or some sugar-free treat to bring. Zero points and I won’t get a tummyache.)
Not much to report here, last time I weighed myself I’d gone back up a pound or two, but then that could have been the time of month.
I’ve signed up for the local 5K in July, so once Easter is out the way, I’ll follow the 6 week Couch to 5K plan my dad found in the weekend Times for me, and see how things go!
Congrats on the un-plateau-ing, Robyn! Looks like I may’ve gotten past mine as well. As of this morning, I’m down 59 pounds, which surprised me… Although in retrospect, while I did eat more on Passover, I really -did- watch what I ate. I’ve also added some weight-work to my exercise routine.
Either later today or tomorrow I go out shopping for new pants!
had a sucky 3 weeks or so through work travel and family visits etc, strayed upwards a few pounds, but nothing too serious.
I had 2 weekends of Easter. The first weekend (with Family A) I gained 5 lbs and had to work the entire week to get rid of it. For the second weekend (Family B) I watched what I ate pretty closely and didn’t gain.
So I need to hit it hard this week (and I am) to get some downward motion.
Until my birthday at the end of the month where I end up gaining 5 lbs back. Oops!
::whine:: Why are all the holidays about food and CANDY?
Bonus to my people: Matzah isn’t exactly binge food.
Since all of your holidays are structured around, “They tried to kill us, we won, let’s eat!!!” that would be a positive…
I’m doing my best, though. Matzah and peanut butter… Mmmmm!
Weighed in at 113.8kg this morning which is exciting! Really hoping to get under 110kg by July when my parents are coming over to visit.
weighed in at 103kg this am, so just 0.6 over my previous low a month or so ago. Going to have to reduce the intensity of my running a little. Had been doing lots of intervals, but this is leaving me in difficulty when it comes to stairs, so going to cut that back a lot to see if that helps.
Bleh, official weigh-in day and I was back up to 114.2kg. Still, that’s 15.2kg lost so far.
Back up 2lb
I have been doing a lot of partying though - food, drink and lack of sleep will do that to you!
Expecting a good weigh in on Wed. Been a little ill over the weekend, and would you know, a much reduced appetite whilst doing your best impression of a radiator will do wonders for pounds lost.
I got my ass in gear last week and cut out all sweets and starches from my diet. (Actually, I officially started doing that last Wednesday, since I had some leftover Easter coconut pie I had to finish.) So in less than a week, I’ve already lost 5 pounds of water weight. I have only 5 more pounds to lose to put me at the weight I was this summer, and 7 pounds to lose to put me back at what was my lowest weight in over 10 years.
I am so motivated! I’ve been walking/jogging every day, and I’m going to take up body-weight exercise to build some muscle in my arms and legs (legs already have a decent amount, but my arms are embarrassingly weak). Once I lose those 7 pounds, I’ll only have 10 more pounds to lose to reach the high limit of my healthy BMI range. It’s so close I can feel it…
So spiky now that I’ve lost more. No movement for two weeks, but I know it’s that time when I retain water like I’m expecting the price to spike. It’s so freaking frustrating, but I know I just have to keep my faith in thermodynamics.
The frustrating thing is, my jeans fit better. I mean, objectively so. But the scale still won’t budge.
Damn gallows fodder - that’s all great news!
AotL - being at the “low end” of your goals is weird. On one hand you’ve come so far and done so well. On the other hand everything is more “delicate” and harder to lose now. Ugh! Glad you are hanging in there.
Easter I and Easter II came and went and I lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks, so that’s not bad. My workout schedule keeps being interrupted by other stuff but I am at least doing some sort of exercise every day. I’m also keeping my calories super low because I’ve lost my appetite with my stomach issues. Well “very low” like 1600-1800 (which is not much for a 300# person who exercises). I am scared to death of becoming weak, so I try to shove in calories the days I work out the hardest.
Anyway it’s going well. Gotta hunker down between now and Friday the 27th when I have 2 days off for my birthday. I think I will still go to the gym that day, tho
