Perhaps as revenge, the wife should tweet her twat?
Right. I didn’t mean to hijack the thread, but just to point out that taking Clinton’s version of the Lewinsky scandal as true, what he did is FAR, FAR worse than what
Weiner did, but no Dems asked for his resignation. I just find it shocking that hitting on anonymous women on the internet (yes, complete with x rated photos) compares with getting a BJ in the oval office from a White House staffer.
It takes us to subtle distinctions between the trivial and the insignificant.
What’s wrong with getting a BJ from an intern?
You have to have the very, very best health plan for that.
Depends on whether she inhales or not.
OK
So Anthony Weiner was sexting with six women over the internet.
And ALL of them have turned out to be women? Actual women? Not lonely 53 year old men with a couple of photos from a model site?
Six actual women were sexting with him?
Anthony Weiner is a GOLDEN GOD!
What’s wrong with having sexual conversation and sending adult pictures through Facebook?
If you would say “nothing” to both, then at least that is consistent. I don’t want to further hijack the thread by arguing Clinton/Lewinsky again.
What I am wondering about people who thought that the former was okay and the latter is terrible and that Weiner needs to resign.
Good God, man, think of the victims here! Haven’t you seen the videos, with them weeping over the horror and brutality visited upon them by this textual predator? OK, neither have I, but still…
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with either of them - at least not anything that needs to be explained to anyone but their wives.
I also thought the smae thing about Mark Sanford on the Appalachian Trail, and Larry Craig wanting to blow a cop at the Minneapolis airport (though the latter was technically illegal).
Weiner was immature . So far ,that is not a crime. He acted stupidly. If that were a crime, the house would be emptied. His biggest problem may be explaining it to his wife. There are polls saying the majority of his constituents want him to stay.
He screwed up any future elections. He is paying a price.
The Repubs smell blood and will stay on his case. I hope they fail to oust him.
Uh oh. According to unnamed sources, Weiner told Democratic Congressional leaders behind the scenes, “oh, it was a hack, this is all nothing.”
If true, I’m not surprised they’re majorly pissed now.
So, he wasn’t *blaming *the republicans…he was just…pointing out what they did wrong…
Best wishes,
hh
Do you know what the word “blame” means? Did I say that Weiner’s behavior was the Republican’s fault? No. Pointing out their hypocrisy in pretending to be offended by Weiner’s behavior is not the same thing as blaming them for it.
