For comparison. The only part of Suite Judy Blue Eyes I hear is the end section.
I’m pretty sure it’s from the liner notes of one of the albums around that time. Either Running with Scissors or Poodle Hat… maybe Alapalooza?
No idea if the hair is real or fake, though.
Trivia about “The Saga Begins”: Al wrote the lyrics before the movie came out. He based the lyrics entirely on Internet discussions and rumors, and yet somehow managed to accurately synopsize the movie’s entire plot.
I, for one, as a CSNY fan and corporate shit-lander-onner thought Mission Statement was a blast!
I believe he went to a charity screening(paid quite a bit, too) to make sure what he wrote vibed with the movie. It pretty much did.
You’re not mistaken, there is a video, and I saw it just a couple of weeks ago. But now I can’t find it! In it he was acting like a bit of a 90s douche for a sketch.

Bob: It’s the ratings!
George Newman [Weird Al]: Don’t tell me we actually made the list?!
Bob***: We’re number one.
…
Bob & George: AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Mission Statement was amazing. Loved it and laughed so hard. It wore a little thin by the end, but then picked up again and went out on a high note.
SUPPLIES!
(Sorry…that’s the only line I really remember from UHF…)
You forgot these classic lines?
“This is my mop.”
“Badgers? Badgers!”
“Stupid!”
For those of you just joining us, today we’re teaching poodles how to fly.
There are many good lines from UHF, but “Supplies!” is the one greatest ever “Asians mixing R sounds with L sounds” joke in the history of human humor. In fact, it may be the only joke that has any merit at all from that specific subgenre.
I just recently learned that the actor that played that role died during the filming of the movie (killed by a drunk driver) and they had to rewrite the script as he was supposed to have a lot bigger part.
“Fra ra ra ra ra” at the end of Christmas Story is a strong contender.
It’s based on an old joke, but I loved the way they worked it into the movie.
I’m thinking of something orange. Something orange…
Yes, as it works on two levels.
“Not Craw, Craw!” Get Smart.
That’s only a maybe, but it’s memorable.
Give up? It’s an orange.
Oh, man.
Wish you’d used spoiler tags…
Oh maaan! I hadn’t heard that.
