It’s an old photo, but has anyone here seen Weird Al without the ‘weird’?

I’ve been watching these as they come out and and have felt very “meh” about them. Then the Sports Song. That’s not just boring, it’s bad.
What is going on with the guy?
Straight Outta Lynwood was great. And now there’s … this stuff.
I know that I’m not a follower of the music he’s mocking, but that hasn’t been a problem before. Word Crimes I guess just didn’t have a very good melody to work from, but still … it should have been a lot better.
I think something about the other companies (Funny or Die, etc.) producing the videos that stiffled him.
Latest one is up – “First World Problems”. I think it’s one of the better efforts so far. Made my wife laugh, and she’s not a big Weird Al fan.
So far as I can tell, he’s doing the same thing he always has done, but it’s just not fresh any more.
Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” was a big hit last year and there’s even an uncensored version of the video full of naked models.
It was also the song that Miley Cyrus was performing with Thicke when she engaged in her infamous “twerking” scandal.
It’s a catchy tune and a well-known song. I’d say it was his best choice for the current releases.

This also features the boast “Robin Thicke has a big dick”
Just in case anyone was wondering.
It’s like “retard” in the US.
When is the photo from?
He looks a lot like Bruce Campbell in that picture.
As a Pixies fan, I’m ecstatic.
Uuuuummmmm . . . then this should make you spastic!

“Robin Thicke has [del]a big dick[/del] the most punchable face in showbusiness.”
Bought the CD on Amazon and really wish this was an autorip CD.
I bought the MP3 album Wednesday and yesterday they cut the price in half
I don’t know. I think it’s when he got married.
That’s not from the time of his wedding. He was 41 when he got married. Here are some pictures from his wedding:

There’s a fake wedding picture that was made when he got married:

It’s a picture of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston at their wedding with Al and his wife’s faces photoshopped in.
I’ll echo the others who have said that most Americans have no idea that “Spastic” is considered a slur in the U.K.
Apparently there was enough of a reaction that it finally came to Al’s attention because he Tweeted an apology on Saturday.
[QUOTE=Weird Al’s Tweet]
If you thought I didn’t know that “spastic” is considered a highly offensive slur by some people… you’re right, I didn’t. Deeply sorry.

If you bought a CD from Amazon, they usually put the mp3 songs in your library as well. I bought a CD years ago, and a year ago got a note from Amazon saying they were in my cloud library, along with other mp3s I’d purchased from them.
I **knew **Weird Al was above using “spastic” if he knew what it meant to some people. I remember BiC or some other pen company had a pen called “Spaz” or something, and they either changed to name or did away with the pen because of the people who complained.
Weird Al is really a good guy it seems, and I honestly think it’s very unlike him to do ANYTHING that’s offensive. He’s probably one of the most humble guys in the entertainment business.
Thank you **Wendell **for correcting me.
Al just apologized for using spastic. He had no idea. I wonder if he will re-record the song.
Wow! That was terrific! I totally bought Patton Oswalt as Dr. Demento.
