Weird cross-stitch motif request.

For quite some time now, I have wanted to cross-stitch a motto for our home. It’s the motto of the Madras Public Library:

“To be literate is to possess the cow of plenty.”

Greatest motto ever, right? Yes. But I need a good cow image, or possibly something nicely Indian-looking. (Here is an image of the original picture.) I have had no luck so far; I don’t want a cow that looks too American and country-cute, this being an Indian cow of plenty. I’ve looked around for Indian-style cross-stitch patterns, which are a little on the scarce side, and have found very nice Lakshmi and Ganesh images that are way too large, and that’s it.

So if anyone knows of a good image that might work, please let me know. I’m sure this thread will sink like a stone, but hey, I’ll give it a try!

I live in Fort Worth, Texas, and our city logo is a longhorn head. Perhaps you’d like to use it. I Googled ’ “fort worth” texas longhorn logo’ images. It’s a nice simple design, and you can easily adapt it to cross stitch.

Okay, this will take me a little while, but in case you feel like doing it yourself:

There are places that will take a picture and convert it to pixels. aka cross stitch. I think you can do it with photoshop too, or gimp if you are all about the free stuff like I am. I will look, and post again when I find something, but try googling stuff like “picture convert cross stitch” and the like.

eta: I tried it and got a lot of neat stuff
this looks okay; you can keep looking around though
