Weird Wild West Mafia/Werewolf/Psychopath

The same as town I would assume.

Don’t think it’ll make a difference…why do you think it would?

I can only imagine what my first post will be after Dawn.

I would like to think, that with the … thoughts on the game I have in my head, and the thoughts that will add to them, after the lynch, will only marinate into something … coherent.

Again, I am appealing to the game math. The chances of a mislynch tonight are huge, yes?

What then, can town do, overnight, off board, to fully utilize the information the lynch brings?

As I am town, scum have a board without me on it. I can only imagine what they are doing to me over there. As they can use a board without me, I would bet that they are using that to … tolerate me. (It is obvious that some people are upset with me. I can understand that.) This would allow them to not ask to be subbed.

Joey, humor me please.

I know that I am town.

Why am I finding it hard to answer your question here? Why do I feel so paranoid when it comes to wanting to express my answer to your question? Why do I feel like I have any possibility of slipping here?

Nothing*, Mah has deemed this game to be all fluff at night. Which I kinda like because it gives everyone a break for the weekend.
*As far as interaction with others goes

Wait, what do you mean by ‘off board’? Like by yourself?
Work on a case against someone with the new info you’ll have from the lynch.
Work up a WoW on someone.
Etc…

Well, it was an odd question. I mean, asking about how often scum players sub out is a normal question. Asking if there will be a difference now that you’ve asked that question is odd. Or at least phrased oddly.

Somewhere between 0% and 100%

Also somewhere between 0% and 100%
Trying to figure out will leave you with a serious case of WiFoM.
and, in response to bartering for my vote. I don’t play mafia that way.

are you suggesting that we cheat?

We cannot do anything over night off board.

It’s happened both ways. Memorably for me, in my first game, someone asked to be subbed out because they were getting incredibly frustrated for being under so much suspicion for bad reasons…and then turned out to be scum when we lynched their replacement the next day.

There’s a gentleman’s agreement in place to not metagame substitutions either way–that is, scum implicitly promises not to tactically request subs to lose heat, and town implicitly promises not to vote for people simply for subbing out.

Look for patterns. Look for spurious logic. Look for pretty ideas that can be shown to have an anti-town bias as more information is gained. Look for people who vote erratically, who seem to know too much, or who seem to always be “correct” in their final votes.

Damn, I leave for lunch and everything gets all heated. I’m sorry to lose you Tom but welcome to cucuy.

Alka I hope you stick around but before you go would you mind explaining your unvote of me. You doing it after my unvote of you makes it seems like it was a OMGUS especially when you don’t add another vote or explain why you’ve changed your mind.

Zeriel, you understood my question. Special Ed, how could I have worded my question differently for you?

I’ll take that one. Based on the answer that you liked. Your question should have been What can I do during the night to be ready for the next day. The way you worded your question it sounded (to me) like you wanted to continue discussing the game on other boards or via PM (based on your use of the word ‘we’ and ‘off board’)

Dude, the hell? I get voted on for being too aggressive to vote? Would it help if I unvoted and voted for someone else? I’m not scum (this time), and I don’t know what else to say.

Last time, people thought my postings were way too “me too” and not really substantial enough. Now they’re substantially wrong. I don’t get it.

I was not aware of this, but it makes perfect sense to me. And, in it’s own weird way, it confirms for me, that I was on to something here, asking the question.

Obviously, aware of this now, I will back off the line of questioning.

Obviously, aware of this now, I will not personally seek a sub. (For various reasons, the least of them being, that I actually do like MAFIA, even with the environment over here [SDMB].)

We being “Town”.

I know that we can not communicate at night, in this thread, or indeed, anywhere else.

Knowing this, I am asking now, in the context of ““us”” [That is Town], in the context of '“now”" so that we would not have to scramble 5 seconds before the lynch. We can’t plan after dusk, so let us plan now.

Should we all publically state who we will WOW on, as to not “reinvent the wheel” and otherwise duplicate efforts?

If town would rather I not WOW someone, I will understand. Do not fret in telling me not to WOW.

What does WOW mean?

WOW = Wall of Words, which is apparently how we’re referring to “post-by-post analysis” these days.

I prefer either randomly assigning these or preferentially not assigning them at all. Who does or does not get investigated by whom is a potentially useful variable.

For my part at least, no. You’re being voted on for being too aggressive to vote while using someone else’s aggressiveness to vote as the primary (indeed, the only) reason for your vote. Inconsistency, see? Like you don’t actually hold the opinion that aggressive voting is problematic; you’re just looking for an excuse to vote for somebody.

I was choosing not to answer this, as I figured the person who did answer would go ahead and comment on the rest of my comment. [I honestly would prefer not to WOW someone, and I think that no one would argue with me here.]

Frankly, I was surprised that Freudian was asking. I thought that Freudian had played a few games, and therefore (she?) knew the answer.

NETA: I mean, I would do a WOW on someone, if my name came up, but, I am aware that I am long winded, and I don’t want to begin to think what a Meeko penned WOW would look like in terms of gigabytes of space. ((Yes, This is uber-sarcasm.))

WoW is a term that comes from the some other mafia playing world, I believe. It’s only recently spread to SDMB and it’s satellite mafia worlds.
