Weird Wild West Mafia/Werewolf/Psychopath

Looking over everything again, I still think that that despite his claim Oredigger is still the likely scum.

I also think NAF1138 is skimming, and has misrepresented MentalGuy’s post and looking at it, this sentence is a wonderful case of covering all bases.

To paraphrase, either he is town or he is scum? Well duh. Not to mention that MentalGuy marks down MHaye as leaning scum, someone who I don’t think has got any heat?

The more I think about it, the more this annoys me, seeing as he was happy enough to vote on it when Oredigger77 was doing the same. I would not put it past a scum NAF1138 to possibly out himself as a power role if required. Not to mention that he thinks everyone is suggestable. See #522 and #651.

I am torn, vote NAF1138 or vote Oredigger77.

Catching up with the overnight action, such as it was, MentalGuy’s vote switch twanged me just a little bit.

Why? Because he doesn’t mention its self-preservation aspect. Before the switch, he was in a three way tie. Now, he’s not. It’s just a little thing, enough to make me stop and look harder at him later (I have an appointment in 80 minutes or so).

I’m still suspicious of JoeyP (who I voted for Yesterday), although I still need to reread about 3 pages of posts, so I’m reserving judgement on him until I do so.

The other person who has twanged my alarm bells is Oredigger. If his claim is true, he’s a Town-aligned role with an effect that, if used at random, is anti-Town. So why use it? The probable answer is that he’s lying about his alignment - that is, he’s possibly Crimson Thorn (or even third party) and not Town at all.

That’s enough waffle based on a single read of the Day. Back later to finish and vote.

**Vote Count:

Oredigger(1): CatInASuit,

MentalGuy(2): NAF, Zeriel

JoeyP(3): AllWalker, Meeko, Mentalguy**

This Day really flew by and with not a lot of posts. It’s really hard to develop a new case when no one is talking. Of the two cases that actually have votes I think the case against Mental is stronger. If nothing else making a self-serving vote is a null tell unless you try and pass it off as a reasoned vote then I thin if starts heading toward the scum line.

But if I vote for Mental it will create a tie and I’m not sure I have faith based on out posting levels in someone else breaking the tie. Based on what he did in the last game I don’t want to see what fun Mahaloth has dreamed up to punish ties. But we have 6 hours remaining and it looks like a couple of other people are around to break it should they want to.

Vote Mental Guy

Actually we have about an hour or so until the end of day, Noon eastern I believe. So not only do you tie up the vote, you get the end of day wrong as well just in case anyone else was looking. :dubious:

In the interests of preventing a tie.

unvote oredigger77

vote JoeyP

as the slightly scummier choice of the pair from my earlier posts.

However, I would be really interested in lynching Oredigger77.

Vote Joey P.

Because I’ve been somewhat suspicious of him for a while now, and someone needed to break the tie.

slowcoach :stuck_out_tongue:

Back in post [post=11394140]3[/post], Mahaloth told us

I’m sorry, but if you don’t know what a tie will do, it is never a pro-town action to create one. (If you do know the result of a tie, then you can make an accurate assessment, and deal with the consequences.

That makes me more suspicious of him. I’m going to place a vote on him to register that, and go and study the Day again to see if anything else stands out.

Vote Oredigger

This isn’t to say I can’t support a lynch of Joey. I can, but I want my disapproval of Oredigger’s actions on record.

Let’s make this interesting then

**unvote JoeyP

vote Oredigger**

I make that JoeyP (4), MentalGuy (3), Oredigger(2)

If someone else votes for Oredigger, I’ll switch. I’m not sure I believe his claim, and that tie-making was pretty blatant.

Out of self preservation I’m going to
Vote Oredigger
That should bring Oredigger up to 4.

That’ll do it.

Unvote Joey P.
Vote Oredigger

As do I.

I still plan to watch for a tie-creating vote though, as I don’t want a tie as a matter of policy.

I think we’re good: by my count it’s
Oredigger (4)
Joey (3)
Mentalguy (3)

One of us is out; CIAS and I make it 4-3-2.

Ok let me rephrase so I am not covering all said bases. You know, I was toning down the asshole for you…

Either Mental Guy has no balls or opinions of his own and just follows the crowd like a sheep (possible) or he is exhibiting the common and tested scum trait of not being able to build a case on someone he knows to be town.
Sorry Mental Guy, I am sure you have both balls and opinions of your own, hence my vote for you.
Better Cat?

Crap! I thought I had \more time foe this Day.

vote Mental guy

Back with more to explain.

Me and NAF simulpost!

Not only that but I had this quote queued and readyt to go too!

Withough running out of time, I’ll say that I find CIAS to be leaping across the board and pointing FOS at many people. This could be a helpful Town gesture and it could be scum move.

Joey said, in [post=11436687]620[/post] :

You have to keep justifying it because you miss the point of the accusation (at least as far as I’m concerned.

BS PI was asked for the justification, and answered it, a full seventy-five minutes before Joey chimed in and accused him of not justifying his vote so that he could wait until after he saw other people’s reactions before trotting out his reasons.

In other words Joey accused BS PI of doing something that he knew, or should have known, BS PI did not do. Taking a sound principle and using it as the basis for an attack in a case where it is not applicable is something that the Crimson Thorn would want to do, since it seems a solid ground on which to build a case, if one can only fudge over the fact that the accusation has already been shown to be groundless.

That was the basis for my Day 1 vote for Joey, and I have not seen it explained.

Cucuy’s vote created a tie between Joey and MentalGuy. If necessary, I will switch my vote to Joey to break ties, but not until a bit closer to the deadline.
