Cucuy, I believe you said you had a certain percentage fail rate for your investigations, based on the post restriction and you saying that it was successful I’m going to assume the investigation gave you a true reading. Did your PM say for sure if it was true?
I uh…might have something to do with his post restriction. I’m not going into details, but it’s a potential side effect of my protection. I refuse to go into it more than that, since it’s only of main use for the CT to find out the details of my role.
That said, I see no reason to disbelieve Cucuy at this point.
Snipped. Bolding Mine.
Digger, I am concerned here. Do you need to cover your tracks for some reason? Do you need to set town up, in such a way, to accept your scummy ways?
And, to go sideways on going sideways… Could Cucuy be third also? [Yes, we can trust him, we would never lynch him at THIS point in the game… perfect set up, if he was non-town.]
So the flavor (if we can trust it) suggests NatLaw died due to an unlucky coinflip (the 50% tag), as a result of storyteller’s death. Why story would have happily given himself up is still quite strange to me, as is the fact that if story’s lynching resulted in Natlaw’s death, that we have gone two Days without a proper Nightkill. Docs rarely are this lucky. And cops are rarely as lucky as cucuy’s been so far.
Those facts, the strange flavor of this game, and the fact that we started with a full third of players playing against the town, really makes me wonder if something’s up. But a purple thorn in the hand is worth two in the bush, or something to that effect.
I wonder about this too. Right now I can’t think of a Scum or third party motive for pretending to vig him, but i am tired right now.
Assuming that Naf and Mahaloth told us the truth, then some other party must have interfered with the vig attempt. I’m thinking one of the Scum might have the ability to bestow some form of protection, or possibly a Townie unwittingly protected story. Don’t know.

On preview, I too wonder about what the 50% means, whether it is an indication of progress (ie, half the Scum are dead) or NatLaw died by some probability-influenced event. Or something else entirely.
Well at least we now know that cucuy’s fail percentage gives him a false reading instead of no reading. Of course, you all won’t know that until I’m dead. But it’s my job as a vanilla townie to die at some point. Here’s my PM:
Your guess is as good as mine for what that means. Be leery of any other players using that role claim from now on since I believe I’m the first to post it.
Good luck town! I don’t have much else to say at this point.
I note that NAF’s contentions are called into question by the confirmation of Storyteller as vanilla scum. Unless there is some kinda scum day protector or something.
