Monday night will be the Steelers’ test. Stop the Niners and there’s half a chance left. Go Steelers!
But, while I’m here… That’s three games now, Weirddave. Were you biting your nails while watching Favre not connect with Driver? The Steelers may not have the division but I have your number, it seems.
It looks like you’re going to need to get in there and QB the Ravens yourself. Hey, I have an idea- get Ray Lewis to QB! Let him see the other end of the barrel for a while.
Oh. My. God. I am so freaking bitter about that game. Our fantasy league has head to head matchups. Going into that game, I had a lead of 10 points against the guy I was playing and each of us had one guy left to play. Torry Holt for me, whoever the Rams kicker was for him. In the bag, right?
Yeah, that’s what I figured, too. Holt’s good for a minimum 15 points and the kicker isn’t going to get more than 10.
But nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Torry Holt has 3 receptions for 38 yards and no TD’s. 3 points! He gets 3 points!
Meanwhile, Jeff Freaking Wilkins gets 4 field goals and 3 extra points! 3 of them from 30+ yards! 18 points!
I freaking lost! Instead of being in 1st place with the tiebreaker, I’m stuck in freaking 3rd. ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!
I was watching footage of the game where one of the linebackers was shadowing Ramsey … moving where he moved, that sort of thing. On more than a few plays (passing plays), there were gaping holes for the particular linebacker to run through and get Ramsey in serious trouble.
It reminded me of when Washington played the Eagles once and LaVarrr Arrington did that same thing to keep McNabb from running for big yardage.
Only one difference…Ramsey isn’t known for punishing defenses with his speed. McNabb is. So while it can be a very good maneuvre to shadow McNabb, I don’t understand why the Seahawks did as they did. But then, I’m also not a defensive coordinator, so maybe that plays into things a bit:D
