Apparently you didn’t understand the rules because you created a second account and then asked about it. It appears Frank & Tuba were on duty and immediately jumped in and helped you sort yourself out. Or did they reflexively ban you first? I can’t tell from the link to your thread, but were you at any point, banned?

Has anyone here been, at any point, banned? The new username was banned, but the poster was not.

Nope. I’m willing to bet most of us skimmed the user agreement, and don’t read ATMB on an even semi-regular basis.
“Email the mods/admins” should be a fairly automatic response to questions about membership and posting, but my impression is that it doesn’t happen nearly as often as it should. They start threads instead.

No, I wasn’t banned at all. Neither my original username, nor my new one (made from a different IP, so if I had so chosen, I could’ve been a completely new poster with nobody the wiser). I created a second account to post, already having outlined my thread. Frank and Tuba didn’t “jump in,” being “on duty,” they read the thread and worked with me on the issue as per my request.
But in this case they found out because the poster told them he’d had another username. They then did what the rules say needed to be done, a little unclearly but in no way unfairly.
Dammit, Frank – why’d you have to go and say that out loud? Now everyone will know it’s a sock if that username shows up!
I agree completely. And I’m not saying that GazooII did the wrong thing. He may–may have done the right thing in the wrong way, but Skip did what TPATPTB (The Powers Above The Powers That Be) had charged him to do.

A small solace to me is that A_E_S is apparently an “import”. She wasn’t born in Kansas, but moved there early in her marraige. I haven’t flamed out yet. 
I guess Kansans (is that what you call 'em?) in general just don’t know how to properly flame out, because the subject of your post only “quit the boards” for about 6 weeks. Kansans. What a bunch of underachievers. Pfft. Except Zabali_Clawbane, of course.
