It was great to meet you too, Das Glasperlenspiel! It was a fun evening, and reminded me that I need to get back to the Owl from time to time. Hope that you can make it back sometime. As for visiting Ottawa–I found out recently that I may need to be in Toronto next June. Nothing definite at this point, but if it happens, I might be able to make a side trip.
I was in Ottawa last month. Even though I was fairly sick, I had a good time!
Sorry we missed you.
It was good to meet you too,Das Glas. I hope you had a nice trip here.
Yesterday I visited a place I hadn’t been to before - Mont-Tremblant. Mostly known as a skiing place near Montreal, though I found it’s wonderful in the summer.
I saw a performance by the Sam Roberts Band there last night. It was amazing! One of the best of their concerts I’ve seen.
Cool. I’ve skied there many times, but never been in the summer.
Premier of Manitoba announces he’s moving the election date up from October to September; apparently all the parties have already been campaigning for weeks, so why not just get it done?
Election campaign in Manitoba will get officially underway as early as today
No reaction yet from the other parties as to whether they agree with the timing change or think it’s an attempt to get an advantage.
I’m not really a skier. Would like to go back to Tremblant sometime, though. It’s wonderful.
October 2020 to September 2019.
PM Trudeau found guilty of violating the Code of Interest Act. Will they hire back the two women that he forced out, Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott?
I doubt it. Even if they were offered their jobs back, I doubt they’d accept.
I’m sure that they will both run in the upcoming election, as independents, which is fine–we’ll see how they do.
I’d be up for another Ottawa Dopefest, if we can make it happen!
Bianca Andreescu is awesome.
That is all.
As am I!
Hey, me too.
I’m currently at The Royal Oak in Kanata listening to live jazz; it’s awesome.
Mike Duffy is sitting 20 feet away. Any messages I should give him? ![]()
Second Alberta man told to remove pro-oil and gas shirt during Parliament tour.
They lied when they said they would train the security staff better, or the security staff doesn’t listen to their supervisors; which do you figure it is?
I’d guess people are lazy and only haphazardly look at mass emailing stating “please don’t consider messages about Canadian oil being political”.
Just finished writing my submission to the court for the class action settlement on Thu and Fri. I have a sore throat but am hoping to not feel like utter shite by then. How is everyone’s Tuesday going?
That’s why I took up dual traction kiting when I lived in London. Two wings like a biplane, but no fuselage. Unfortunately, here in Thunder Bay there is only one public field large enough for me to fly it.
Good luck, Poysn.
