I’m always a little :dubious: about people who complain about types of threads on the Boards, as if someone has a gun to their head, making them open them.
I see a shit-load of threads in MPSIMS about cats/kittens/kitties!/cutest kitty evah! I don’t click those links. It’s beyond easy. It’s actually a non-action, a mere refrainment from employing that left index finger in a downward press, and my day continues on unimpeded and saccarine free. But I don’t begrudge others who think pictures of cats are squeal-worthy.
If you actually read Fark, then it seems to me you should have a pretty good idea based on thread title alone of which threads are going to either (a) link to Fark or (b) be about the same subject you read about on Fark.
So maybe rather than expecting people here to adhere to your own personal posting preferences, you should just stop reading Fark. Problem solved.

In shocking news, it was revealed today that stories featured on the popular website Fark are sometimes reposted on other, less popular, websites.
Digg, Slashdot and MetaFilter declined to comment.
Farkity ensues.
We don’t care about being popular. We’re too cool to care about that. 
Gee lissener, why don’t you provide us a list of ALL the other sites you regularly view, so we can make sure we don’t duplicate material from there as well? As long as we are tailoring the board to your personal habits, and to hell with everybody else who doesn’t view FARK and might miss interesting material that must be skipped because lissener might tragically see a link he has already seen elsewhere.
In fact, it seems to be a near-certainty.

That’s not a “soften the blow” smiley, that’s an “I am amused.” smiley. Face it, you left yourself wide open for the comment. 
As this thread shows a fark thread can be a useful starting point to correct of lot of things, and it’s perfect example, because many of the things presented as facts in that list (and even backed up to some extent by web cites) were ultimately disproven or made highly questionable by dopers.
As a side note lissener, please take a breather. Over the years you seem to have these times where you go absolutely bat shit for no good reason, and go around flinging dung and starting fights on thin pretexts. Find someone who’ll put on a Sumo Suit with you, and go at it to get this stuff out of your system. You’ll be glad. We’ll all be glad.
