I feel dirty just for reading that.
Sort of the former, it’s a Fark cliche: every time you masterbate, God kills a kitten.
Um, CG didn’t disagree with me. He didn’t address the OP at all. He just told me to leave. I “abused” him because he attacked me personally, not because he disagreed with me about Fark. Where did he disagree about Fark? Maybe I’m oversensitive because CG is one of a handful that follows me around and pokes me with a stick, and of course I play the monkey and react. It’s possible that I wouldn’t have reacted that way if someone I’ve never heard of had said that; I’d have just ignored them as not worth my time.
If that’s your only example, then you need to express yourself more precisely. I did not, in fact, abuse him for disagreeing with me. I “abused” him for, once again, going out of his way to insult me without agreeing or disagreeing, or even engaging with at all, the subject of the thread.
Fine, it’s the pit; he can do that.
So can I.
(I apologize to everyone who didn’t realize that CG and I have a history, and who therefore thought my reaction was completely without context. If you’ll note, however, I did point out in my reaction to him that the cowardly smiley was a habit of his, which I would have thought would have pretty clearly implied a historical context. But whatever; glee gets to kneejerk respond just like I do.)
Now, now. Let’s not understate. I humorously suggested you leave as a potential resolution to the dilemma you presented. I didn’t just “tell you to leave.” That would be like saying Verhoeven just crapped on a page and called it a script for Showgirls - which vastly oversimplifies the amount of smearing the man had to do to form it into words.
I don’t know you, but take this for what it is worth…
You are seeming a bit hysterical. And silly. And petty.
Regardless of whatever “history” you have with some anonymous person whom you have never actually met, you are coming off as the smaller person here. With over 10,000 posts, I can imagine you are pretty emotionally invested in internet relationships. Just try to maintain a bit of perspective.
Whenever I see someone online being unnecessarily caustic, I immediately think they are doing what they do not have the fortitude to do IRL. When was the last time you called someone a name IRL? Have you ever called someone a coward to their face?
Take a breath.
I think lissener has inspired Candid Gamera to use as a kind of signature file. Excellent.
I thought it was Eszterhas who actually crapped on the page. Verhoeven crapped into the camera.
