Heh, oops. I forgot to add my comments in my last post. But anyway . . . yes, Opal, I’m aware that Ed cannot “hack” the software, and that he cannot just wave a magic wand and make it so posts can be marked read. The meaning of my post was, that I was requesting that the writers of the software be notified that we would like the feature of marking posts read. I should have been more clear, sorry.

If you’re talking about the experiment thread, yeah, but it wasn’t up then. Anyway, the comment was <FONT COLOR=“PURPLE”>really</FONT> just a hastily conceived sentence added to keep that post from being a one-liner (I was testing the quote command also).
I agree with Snark that being able to mark posts/threads read would be a big plus. Do the software people welcome suggestions?
I have a question my-own-self: Do posts drop off/expire after a certain time (or will the moderators take them off the page after a certain time)? If not, even if the posters <FONT COLOR=“PURPLE”>do</FONT> start up new threads for tangents/topic changes some of these pages are going to get pretty long. And if so, are they going to be archived somewhere (onsite or offsite)?

I generaly like the board. The search feature is a wonder. The reply window on the other hand…the ability to include images is cool but if it gets popular these pages are going to take forever to download.

It’ll take a while, but I can see some advantages to this format (will miss the “read/unread” functions, though). Did I miss it, or did the FAQs & UBB for dummies links deliberately NOT mention how to change font colors?

One liddle prollem, though, is the goodie at the bottom that explains “all times are CT”.
Would you please change that to read Central Time (unless, of course, you really ARE in Connecticut, in which case you may ignore this goofy post).
