Coldie:

Cloggy here is the satellite info on “My Name Is Joe”

Peter Mullan, Louise Goodall, David McKay (1998) Criminal and social elements effect the relationship of an unemployed Scot and a community health worker.
Totoro:

Totoro stop it you’re scaring me.

A swearing Totoro…this has got to be the SINGLE most disturbing image I’ve had all day…

Aha, that’s the one. Really worthwhile.

I’m with Coldy… My name is joe is quite good, it’s directed by ummmm…Ken Loach. Fantastic film, fantastic director.

Aha, try to look at it like this:

You have a rare opportunity to see movies you might NEVER have watched otherwise. The blurb they use to encapsulize a film is seldom adequate to really tell you anything.

I saw one a few years ago on pay tv (cable with movie stations) “Like Water for Chocolate” a spanish subtitled movie. I wouldn never have rented it - the stored would never have even carried it around here. It was beautiful, profoundly moving in a way I can only call ‘spiritual’. I am a better person for watching it.

Keep an open mind, and remember, if it doesnt say: Stallone starring in 'Over The Top" - then it just might be worth your time! :wink:

Yep I agree Kellibelli. My problem is, if I don’t see a title that hasn’t been drummed into my head by critcs or advertising, then I automatically assume the movie is not worth shit.

<snicker>
<aside to group>

aha probably hasn’t even seen Reservoir Dogs. Heh heh. What a dumbass. What an uncultured savage. What a maroon. Sleepers are some of the best movies.

</aside>

Take off the loin cloth, pops, it’s time to leave the paleolithic behind and join the rest off here in the now. Sleepers can kick ass. Just check it out, you might be surprised. I sure was when I watched Girl, Interrupted. You got a satellite, right? What the hell did you think would happen?

Fuckin’ old people man.
*disclaimer - Take this well salted… aha knows I’m just playing, but everyone may not, so now you know.
