Well... I guess she's gone.

The SO and I had an argument Friday night. I tried to avoid it, but couldn’t. Yesterday morning she took her phone, wall charger, laptop and cord, and drove off. I’ve not heard from her in more than 24 hours.

I suspect she plans to move out. I suspect that she’s waiting until I’m not here (tomorrow) to come get the cat and her things.

The cat keeps going to her room, as if to look for her.

:frowning:

I presume you’ve tried to call or e-mail her?

I emailed yesterday, saying the cat misses her and I miss her. She keeps her phone turned off, as she only uses it for outgoing calls, so I haven’t phoned.

This is sad. I’m sorry. If you need to vent to a an invisible internet stranger, you can always send me a PM. :frowning:

Taking the cat, too? You lucky, lucky bastard!

That’s a tough break, bro. Sorry to hear it.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like you were expecting this.
Maybe it’s time to move on.

What was the argument about?

She just came home.

I asked if she was staying, and she said ‘I guess so.’

fingers crossed

You should stay together for the kitteh. <nods>

Well that was anticlimactic.

Aw crap, guys. My wife just left me. What do I do?

Yeah, like we’re the best group of people to ask…

In a good way, though.

Until the makeup sex.

Wait, nevermind. She came back. She went to get bread.

golf clap

Soooooo, … what’s the backstory?

your first post said you tried to avoid the argument - maybe the best way out of a major disagreement (and it sure sounds anything but settled) is* through.* have it out, don’t sweep it under the rug.

Well, first the earth cooled. Then along came the dinosaurs, but they got too big and fat, so they died and turned into oil…
