Well, I'm back at my old job...

… for the weekend. I told my supervisor that I would be available for emergency coverage. So here I am, hard at sloth, killing time and trying to catch up with a month of threads.

Updates on me, for those that care. The new job is great, and I’m learning a lot. Most of my co-workers are impressed with me, and I’m getting along with them all quite well. I see good times ahead…

The SacDope fest of about a month ago was a success, I think, based on the thread and the turnout. Next time I must plan more than just drinks and food… I felt all in all a little overwhelmed. I know that a few folks were bored, which makes me feel bad. We’ll have to do it up right next time… if folks are interested in a next time.

I’m getting married next month. Go me!

Beyond that, not a lot of change. I’m still me, still obsessed with Import Tuning, Absinthe and the SDMB. Just can’t get on at work… dang the luck.

And now, back to more reading…

Working corporate sucks.

What is your job anyway?

I print checks for one of the major payroll companies on America. In fact, if you live in California, and work for a business that is small and is contracted with my company, it’s a pretty safe bet that if you got a check within the last 3 weeks, I touched it at some point.

And yes, corporate life sucks, but since I can’t be a power-hungry warlord or similar, it will have to do for now…

Well, as we talked about before, I do, I do and they are. Next time could you ‘touch’ mine a little better, please?

Glad to hear you’re doing well. I’m surprised to hear that anyone was bored at the Fest. I had a blast, myself. Don’t be a stranger!
