Finally ACORN is going down. The mere fact that some people who represented their public face in one of their smaller cities would go along with a child prostitution plot means that the organization in its entirety is just too corrupt. (Yeah, maybe the ladies were humoring pimp-boy & planning to call the police after he shipped the youth in from Chile. But I don’t buy it. The fact that they have been fired proves they were guilty, &, yes, it means so were the ones who fired them. Besides, they were nigras! Of course they hate the laws!)
By the same token, I really hope taxpayers stop funding the LAPD, because of the documented police brutality by officers, who are in public, & therefore are the public face of the department. Just having a few cops like that means that they’re all corrupt. (Even if they mostly just beat on negroes & wetbacks.)
The US Army? Must. Be. Disbanded. These are just the tip of the iceberg. The institution must be considered guilty of every crime of its agents, & no amount of internal discipline can ever be enough.
Any & every institution must be held accountable for the actions of its members, no internal measures are ever enough, the crimes of one employee are the crimes of the whole, & it doesn’t matter who you are.

It would sure be nice if we could go back to the time that ACORN was virtually unknown to the public and was busy being one of the few groups actually representing and advocating for poor folks (as opposed to some paternalistic, ersatz middle-class style “support” of poor people). You can’t shut down ACORN. It has existed, in one form or another, since the dawn of time. It was the entity that first whispered to a caveman that he should club his neighbor. It destroyed the first temple in Jerusalem. It sacked Rome. It introduced the bubonic plague in Europe.
And more recently, it developed the formula and marketing for New Coke. It financed “Batman and Robin.” It produced Paris Hilton’s album. Like MacBeth, no man of woman born can stop it.
No, not a bit. The job will get done, the people hired to do the work will very likely need the work badly, which is precisely what ACORN would have done. If the count is done more effecitively than they might have, so much the better, the left represents the underserved and undercounted, and the better the Census, the better we like it.
You seem to think ACORN is some huge thing on the left, when in reality, before recent outrage from the Hannity/Limbaugh/Beck Axis of Anal, I doubt if even half the lefties on the Boards had even heard of ACORN.
If ACORN is utterly wiped out, the respective personnel will simply reform into different groups based on their expertise and experience, get new letterhead, change the phone numbers, and get back in the game. They’ve been beat before, they’ll get beat again. They can take it. You guys get yer butts kicked in a couple elections, its The End Times, dogs and cats, living together…
