Well thats never happened before (tmi)

Two stories of bodily bizzaro.

I have my period. I’m on day 2 so its a heavy day. I go to the bathroom to take out my tampon and pretty much rip out my insides trying to pull out the perfectly dry, white tampon. I’m sitting there when something comes firing out of me with such force that it makes a splashing noise and toilet water splashes all over my bum. “what the hell was that?” I think. I open my legs and peek in, terrified at what I might see. There, in the toilet, is the mother of all blood clots. Its about the size of an egg. I have no idea why it came shooting out of my like a squishy cannon ball.

Story two actually starts yesterday when I got it into my head that I needed to clean out my belly button. I could feel something in there with my finger and I started to dig at it. It was starting to hurt but I just couldnt stop myself until i got whatever it was out. So I dug and picked then dug and picked some more. Then tonight I notice that my belly button feels wet. I got some toilet paper and stuck it in. When I pulled it out and looked at it, there was green puss. I guess I picked too much. Anyway I poured some peroxide into my belly button while I layed on my bed. It started sizzling and bubbling.

My body is at war with me and its winning.

When I see threads entitled “TMI” I’m not afraid to open them.

You have changed that.

Projectile menstruation?

Remind me not to invite YOU over for dinner!

If I ever open a TMI thread again, someone bitch slap me.

I had the belly button thing happen and had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics. I hadn’t been picking at mine, either. Doctor said she didn’t know what caused it.

ANY possibility of it being a miscarriage? I had that happen when I miscarried about 5 years ago. It was quite traumatic as I really wanted it to take. Happily tho I was PG again a mere 3 weeks later, a miracle, according to my doc!

Early miscarriage was what I thought for the first one, unless (spoilered for the squeamish) it was a forgotten tampon. (BTW I have no experience of either of these.)

Second one, no idea.

Oh come on – what are the odds that anyone truly squeamish was still reading at that point?

You might want to give your doctor a call. I’m no expert, but medical folks are usually pretty concerned about large chunks of blood rocketing out of their patients.

As for the belly button/hydrogen peroxide: Isn’t it the coolest when that stuff starts fizzing?

I have the strangest visual of when I pull the drain on one side of my two-sided sink, and then dirty dishwater bubbles up the empty side - do you see where I’m going here? Pulled the plug in the nethers, and the belly button starts fizzling!

Seriously, probably a miscarriage, or a seriously huge blood clot. Either way, time for a trip to the gynecologist to make sure nothing else is sticking up there.

Thank you for your replies. Some of you really made me laugh. Its not a miscarriage. I’ve had one before. But I havnt had sex since june (sigh) . What I would really like to do is get a d&c. Man, after you get one of those (i’ve had two) your period is so regular and normal for a good year at least.

Kermit

Right. Nothing like a good, relaxing D&C.

W.T.F. Kermit ! ! ! !

NOTE TO SELF:- MUST FIND OUT WHAT TMI MEANS BEFORE I EVER EVER OPEN ANOTHER ONE OF THESE POSTS :smack:

Inigo FYI, d& is not just an abortion procedure. For some women is the only way to control really bad periods. my ex had that and it made a huge difference for a long time.

Sorry, maybe I didnt make that very clear. In the past i’ve had two d&c’s. One after I had a miscarriage and the other a few years later just to clean things out. My period was all wonky at the time. Anyway I’ve never had any adverse effects from them. I just go to sleep and wake up all clean and fresh as a daisy

Kermit

Man, Google better be refunding money to the company advertising belly button rings in this thread!!!

That’s okay. Now I’m getting ads for pipe plugs and odour control!

TMI=Too Much Information, my friend.

As someone who has posted a couple of TMI threads myself, all I can say is:

Sorry. Ew.

Believe it or not, I agree with you Kermit–as long as you can sleep through the procedure. I had one miscarriage followed by a D&C, but they didn’t put me under far enough, and I woke up in the middle of it.

To tell the truth, I would rather give birth with no anesthesia (which I have done) than go through a D&C with no anesthesia.
