On a whim I looked up the Lad “who likes Berries and Cream” -
Per his bio he’s now a very serious “writer, choreographer, and director” now and his epic "Berries & Cream commericals" don’t make any kind of appearance.
But no matter, he’ll always be the Berries & Cream Lad to me.
Jack Ferver
is a New York based writer, choreographer, and director. His genre defying performances, which have been called “so extreme that they sometimes look and feel like exorcisms” (The New Yorker), explore the tragicomedy of the human psyche. Ferver’s “darkly humorous” (The New York Times) works interrogate and indict an array of psychological and socio-political issues, particularly in the realms of sexual orientation, gender, and power struggles. His visionary direction blurs boundaries between fantastic theatrics and stark naturalism, character and self, humor and horror.
Ferver’s works have been presented in New York City at the New Museum; The Kitchen; The French Institute Alliance Française, as part of Crossing the Line; Abrons Arts Center; Gibney Dance; Performance Space 122; the Museum of Arts and Design, as part of Performa 11; Danspace Project; and Dixon Place. Domestically and internationally, Ferver has been presented by the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College (NY); American Dance Institute (MD); Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (IL); Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (OR); the Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA (ME); the Institute of Contemporary Art (MA); Diverse Works in collaboration with the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston (TX); and Théâtre de Vanves (France).
I’m…not surprised he wants to downplay that.
I’m not sure, but I think I recognize him as one of the regular kids on the Amy Sedaris show “Strangers with Candy.” There’s a scene where a bully starts punching him and punching him and punching him…and on and on…while everybody stands around smiling and grinning.
He’s got that listed under “other,” which is a pretty good descriptor for that show.

I’ve never seen that commercial before, so I wonder how many visitors to this thread will have no idea who you’re talking about.
I don’t know what he’s talking about, and I’m at work so I can’t watch the video.
Do yourself a favor, don’t.
Kind of like Jonathan Lethem, who made his bones breaking new ground in science fiction and was such a PKD fan he has a tattoo of a spray can of “Ubik” on his arm… who now, as one of the literary world’s darlings, distances himself from sf as much as possible and is allowed his tattoo only because PKD became something of a post-darling himself.
What boggles my mind is that somebody actually paid for that ad.
