Thanks everyone for all the lovely kind wishes. We’re home from the hospital and doing fine. Tired, but I’m enjoying every interaction with the baby - even the poopy ones. He’s pretty chill unless he has to sit for too long in poop.

Baby’s almost 3 months old now. Smiling and almost babbling (cooing sounds, but no consonants), not yet laughing. He likes peekaboo and nonsense games in which I tap his hands and sing in a high pitched voice.
Being a dad is the most fulfilling thing of my life. Highly recommended.

The blissful feeling of fulfilled fatherhood, burn that into your brain and soul now, burn it deep, no, DEEP! There will be days weeks and months when that is all that sustains you. I wouldn’t trade the past 3 decades of having kids in the house for anything.
My oldest is almost 30. She and her boyfriend are coming over tonight for the rest of the weekend. I’m really excited. Being a dad is indeed the most fulfilling thing we can do.
