Were you surprised by the backlash from Kaepernick, other athletes kneeling vs. the public

He doesn’t want his players doing what Rapinoe and Kaepernick did, kneel.

When you are a coach of a team, you can bench your players if they want. It’s the coaches’ team.

Yes, he is a cop. He probably doesn’t think that police brutality exists.

And no, not all cops are evil.

You need a functioning police force, a force that has mutual respect between citizens and the police.

But people like Krupinsky sees things his way, which he has the right to, it’s his way.

Kap started a conversation, he is getting it.

I don’t think he will ever play again.

Nothing wrong with respecting the service of those who served, but it is a bit too much at sporting events.

Former New York Giants head coach and current Jacksonville Jaguars executive Tom Coughlin, a nonsense white executive, did want Kap on his team, probably because of his son and 9/11, as the article below will tell you.

Coughlin is known for a tough personality.

True, Nate Boyer.

But everyone sees things differently.

Yes and no. It’s actually the owner’s team. If the Seahawks sign Russel Wilson to $25M contract, I’m not sure they’d let Pete Carrol bench him for kneeling.

Uh, wut?

In fairness, the OP’s english is way better than my russian.

(hee-hee)

9/11 isn’t the Ace of Trumps that wins every time it’s played. So an exec had a connection with the events of the day. Whoop-de-fucking doo. We’ve used 9/11 to invade an innocent country and destabilize the entire Middle East, we’ve used it to demonize a religion, we’ve used it to justify torture. Now some people want to use it to justify stifling free speech. You know what’s worse than 9/11? The way some people use it to unleash their inner monster.

Yes, we do need to get us one of those.

BTW, have you been following this thread?

True, but 9/11 was a big event. Not everyone has to agree with Kaepernick. Kneeling is better than any other protest but Coughlin and Tortorella don’t want that in their locker rooms.

Which is why people tend to bring it up, even though it has no relevance, as some sort of bolstering of their argument.

Not everyone does

What’s that have to do with the NFL?

Just because a coach doesn’t mean he has his head screwed on straight.

Plus, only an idiot brings politics into sports – you must stand to be patriotic and honor our military and cops – and then also say that politics has no place in sports.

So you agree he’s an idiot.

MLK was arrested many dozens of times for not following the rules, and ultimately he was murdered for it. Kaepernick didn’t bother anyone and his career was ended for it. Doesn’t make either one right.

This I agree. When I am at game, I want only to sit in bleachers eating famous USA hot dog, and proudly wave flag of Old Glory at defeat of nemesis baseball team!

You forget beautiful piece of pie apple!

[Constantine voice] Nailed it [/cv]

with american cheese!

I don’t like baseball at all. I expect to shortly become a victim of your cultural war about culture.

Yes, I agree he is an idiot.

Krupinsky is the types that don’t want to admit that they are policing problems.

Krupinsky, not only a cop and a hockey coach, but a police union president will be honored by Fox Nation this weekend.

Yes, he is an idiot, but I see why he is anti-kneeling.

If I were on his team, I’d just stand for the anthem than to face his wrath. I know Kap and him would be at odds, and Kaepernick would probably be cut from the team.

It’s not my cultural war, it’s America’s.

Baseball has been pro-anthem for decades; very few baseball managers approved of Kap’s stance.

Comrade, are you trying to stir up some racial controversy as we head into an election year? This has been a quiet issue since the last election, and for some reason you want to start talking about it again. As I said before, the NFL and the Players have come to terms over this, and there is no current controversy We’re all happy and in love here in the USA, uniting against corruption and quid pro quos.
