I know I said this about storyteller, but that was in hopes of keeping him alive. Did my plan work or is Storyteller alive because he is mafia?

I too find it odd that they didn’t kill storyteller. He has clearly been our leader and its strange that he did not die.
That being said I will proceed on my prior assumptions, that they didn’t kill him so we would find it suspicious. They must really like me though, which probably means I am very wrong about a lot of stuff. Either that or they hope that I will get in a figt with someone else, and maybe break that record NAF was talking about :).
Ok, so onto the nitty gritty. I think we choose between Fretful and Kat now. Assuming that the pairs were correct, and Lakai is scum his lynching gains us nothing for the next day. I don’t know about the rest of you people who are alive but I am damn curious about the forbidden thread. I might get slammed in there for being to volatile, but hey it should make fun reading!
So what say you? The fretful/kat pair?
Oh forgot 1 thing. Its the weekend, I have a lot of gardening to do, and I will not be as active as normal. That is probably a good thing, huh?

My current thoughts: I still have more suspicions towards Lakai than towards Fretful. If Lakai is Mafia, he’d have known that brewha was town, and the unvote had the potential to make him look good and Townie-like. If you’re all set on using the other pair, I’ll vote for Fretful, but I’d much rather vote for Lakai.
And yes, the storyteller survival is odd, and somewhat suspicious. Or Mafia could have left him alive because it looks suspicious to do so. Or Mafia could be rejoicing in us believing that they’re using reverse psychology to not be suspicious of storyteller.
And then there is the chance that Queuing is pushing against a Lakai vote in favor of a vote for me or Fretful because he actually is Mafia. This is a theory I’m not strongly supporting, but it snuck into my mind just now and I figured the possiblity should at least be mentioned.
Because it’s natural that we’d find it odd that storyteller survived, even if you hadn’t pointed it out previously. So, it could be that :
(1) You’re Mafia and storyteller is town, and you’re worried about being lynched for having FOSed a trusted town.
(2) You’re both Mafia and you wer trying to create distance, and you’re now worried about one of you being lynched over it (you for FOSing a trusted town or storyteller if enough people find his survival suspicious).
(3) You’re both town and you’re trying to nip a potential Town vs Town situation in the bud.
I just found it a bit odd that it’s the first post, less than 15 minutes after the night killing is put up. The first thing that popped into my head is “He posted that disclaimer a little bit too fast.” Like you’d been ready and waiting for it.
It was the most obvious thing to discuss first. I knew everyone was thinking Storyteller’s survival might be suspicious, but I did not know who was thinking that his survival might just be the mafia making him look suspicious. So I decided to ask the question so that both sides of the argument are covered.
To me it looked like he said that if I were mafia my lynch would not gain us anything and that the town should go after the Kat and Fretful pair.
Well, I think he’s wrong about that. If you’re Mafia, lynching you would gain us one less Mafia vote during the next lynching.
And also, I’m beginning to understand the tendency to type “Mafai” instead of “Mafia” when discussing Lakai.

It sounds like you are too anxious to make the case for lynching me that silly things like contradictions in your argument don’t seem to faze you. Maybe you are inconsistent because you are making up your arguments against me?
Did you read what you are quoting? I didn’t say he is pushing for your vote over me or Fretful. I said that:
Do you know what “against” means? It means the opposite of “for”.
In simple words:
- Queuing is against a vote for Lakai and for a vote for me or Fretful.
- This could be because Queuing is Mafia and Lakai is Mafia.
- I don’t support #2, but I thought it, and decided to mention it, to see what people said about it.

I find it distinctly odd that Queuing AND storyteller are still alive, and I think we can take it as almost certain that one of them is Mafia. The trouble is, I don’t know which.

If I wasn’t alive, this wouldn’t be a problem, but I’m down South Jersey at my wife’s mother’s home for Mother’s Day, and won’t be able to read all the way through or really post until tomorrow afternoon / early evening when I get home. We’re headed out to a movie now and the zoo all day tomorrow.

Really? I am not surprised that I am still alive. I thought the mafia order was going to be Storyteller, SBS, and then game over one way or another. I just think the mafia like something about the way I play this game and have no problem not killing me. However the game is on, so ummm.

I thought about it, and what with tomorrow being Mothers Day and you guys seeming to have plans…I am going to give you all an extra 24 hours. Day ends Wednesday not Tuesday.
On my way out the door for Mother’s Day brunch, but I wanted to type this up before I forgot about it.
Other possibilities
A) Either storyteller or Queuing (or both) are way off base and the Mafia want them continue in that direction
B) StarvingButStrong posted something that made the Mafia nervous
C) Both A and B
D) Either storyteller or Queuing is Mafia, and the reason the other one wasn’t night killed was because either A and/or B apply
When I get home, remind me to look through StarvingButStong’s posts to see what she said that made the Mafia take her out. She voted for Lakai right at the end, but I was pretty vocal against Lakai all Day long.
